Subject: Bungie "making incredible progress" on new IP

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think this new game can be anything. Bungie has made great FPS, 3rd person shooters, and RTS/RPG games. I am pretty excited.

Been waiting years for this new IP! We have faith in you Bungie.

Got a question, comment, or concern? PM me.

I kind of wish they wouldn't release info except the date it is supposed to hit stores. That would prove that Bungie doesn't need hype to sell games and we can do away with all the hype trains.

I honestly don't think it'll be an MMO; but more as a story-heavy FPS or even an RPG. That's because I said so. So there. You can thank me when I'm right for giving you this insightful knowledge.

I really hope they reveal something, anything at E3. I'm going crazy.

Doesn't really say much and that's the type of stuff publishing companies always say. I just hope we get something soon.

I'm going to go with this. I would like to think that Bungie is in the stage where they can release a trailer or something like that at E3, but I wouldn't bank on this piece of information.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

They've been working on this thing since 2008, so WHERE'S MY DAMN GAME?!

As Bungie gets further and further away from the Halo franchise, expecting fans have been waiting for news out of the developer about what's next. As anxiety builds for these fans, Bungie has kept quiet with rumors swirling about what the developer of Halo might be getting into next. While the development process for their top secret project has been kept secret, Activision did reveal a vague bit of information in the quarterly conference call about the new game.

"We continue to lay the foundation for our new universe from Bungie, one of the world's best developers," Activision told investors in the financial briefing. "Bungie continues to make incredible progress on what we expect to be a genre-defining new IP that will provide us with tremendous new opportunities, and which remains one of our key strategic growth pillars for the future."

Admittedly, this doesn't tell us much at all about what to expect from Bungie in the future. Rumors have suggested that the company is making an MMO of some sort, but nothing has been confirmed at this point. A developer diary from Bungie that was released last summer showed some more vague hints at what the developer is creating, and you can find that below.

How exciting! I'm really looking forward to an appearance by Bungie at E3 this year. Thoughts?

Guys we should not pressure BUNGiE to release something by a certain date. I rather wait a long time and be knocked down, dead up surprised and having an awesome game to play than have something revealed and have a rushed game with poor everything.
BUNGiE will release a great game and I want it to be revealed and what not when they are ready and have something drop dead gorgeous to show. So until then I say patience and stop pestering them. Play some retro halo or maybe some Marathon or Myth while we wait.

I'd have to go with unlikely. Halo 4 is almost guaranteed to be Microsoft's glory hound this year.

Question is did their investors gained some confidence from this news. If they did and saw the game, then we may have something good to look forward to soon.

That would be awesome if bungie released some info on what they are doing. I wonder what ideas they got

The time is ripe for an incredibly awesome and informative slide show that explains everything.

Someone in marketing? Based on how slick it is, the author is clearly a pro.

If I can hear something by E3 I'd be pretty happy. Do you think it'd be possible for Destiny to be released close to the release of Halo 4?

Lol. I don't think that our feeble attempts at getting information are going to pressure them into doing anything. It's fine.

Also remember Duke Nukem, but yeah that was a one time deal. Bungie although needs to release game before update is necessary for their game, due to new tech.
