From the beginning chords I was hooked, the trumpets playing a heroic theme upon 117's emergance from the dust, then the slightly modified Halo string theme crept in upon the view of the artifact. The music grew until the brilliant light, then again the piano chords and cortana's final words "This, is the way the world ends...". Then...trumpets playing the heroic theme again *sigh* *waits and it soon ends*
I mean, the trumpet theme was great earlier and even sounded great at the end, it is no doubt a fantastic piece of work...but I believe one of the largest things that makes a Halo trailer is the original choral theme in closing....filled with awe and suspense and heroics itself (I would say with even more power than the trumpet theme...though I am a sucker for the choral music :D). Something where if you walked in on the last seconds of the trailer you could immediately know its Halo as there is no other game or movie trailer that ends thus. Should someone hear the last seconds of this trailer (except the people like me who have had it on loop for hours on end :P) they would probably not jump to such an easy conclusion, maybe they would think it was a movie or just some new game coming out, but knowing that is is Halo and it could only be Halo is another matter.
I am just curious as to why Marty (or Bungie) decided not to incorperate the traditional choral ending into this new trailer?
