Since the TU, I've been noticing that weapons like the DMR and grenades are even MORE powerful now. Shield strength and/or health has gone down, and now you can be killed with shots from the DMR BEFORE your shields pop.

It used to be 4 shots to take out shields, and a headshot to kill.

NOW it takes 4-5 (it seems random most of the time) shots to kill, not just to take the shields out. The last bullet takes out shields AND kills you if it was a headshot. I find this to be a very annoying thing because it completely changes the way the game is played.

You used to know when your shields were out by paying attention to your HUD AND listening for the beeping. Now, you don't have that luxury. Now the chances of dying before your shields pop goes way up, and you have to totally reconsider/reprogram your situational awareness.

This has also made grenade spam even MORE prevalent. People are noticing that grenades can kill EVEN IF your shields are a little over half. There have been countless times where I had 3/4+ shield strength with full health, to be blown away by 1 grenade. That's just sad.

Has anyone else noticed this and/or annoyed by it? It dramatically changes the flow of the game (in my opinion).

...I never said anything about healthpacks. I'm talking about shield strength/health in correlation with weapons like the DMR and grenades.

Your opinion is invalid.

The only difference when it comes to bullets is that if you take any damage at all (even 1/1,000,000 of your shields) you are now a 4 shot kill instead of a 5 shot kill. That is my only complaint about the TU settings actually.

Melee bleedthrough = Good
Bullet bleedthrough = Bad

Also health packs make the bleed through system sort of weird. I don't really understand it, but there are some glitches.

It does relate. Think grenades are op ya you have half health an issue never in halo3. Think the bullet bleed through is bad, wouldn't have this issue without healthpacks. Go back to the old system all problems solved.

Now that makes a bit more sense, but I've noticed the same thing when it comes to full DMR battles, with no melee. You have less health after getting a healthpack and then it only takes 4 shots to kill...

Well I guess that explains it lol they better get their -blam!- together and fix this!

What about games that allow the "Healing power" of Drop Shields. Did you guys think of this?

This basically shows that the health system is like H3. When you take health damage, it DOES NOT start to replenish at the same time as shield health, but somehow the health pack doesn't override this.

Yeah - bleedthrough is a bit of an issue in the TU. They should just switch the health to regen fully like elites and pull all the health packs. It's annoying having somebody insta-heal themselves mid-combat anyhow.
