Here's a simple solution; just don't dual wield. Its not like anybody is making you do it. If you biggest complaint against dual wielding is that those weapons are weaker by themselves, yeah, they are supposed to be. The pistol was WAY too powerful and unrealistic in Halo 1. Its all about balance, but if you really feel that strongly about it, then mount a protest by refusing to dual wield and maybe you'll get some followers.

Personally, I think dual wielding ruined the game. But it is fun to use sometimes. The only problem was that they made all of the guns weaker by themselves. Sometimes you can only use an SMG, cuz the other team is hoarding everything. What they need to do is keep dual-wielding, but make the guns less accurate. I mean, even the Chief can't aim that well with 2 guns in his hands. There should be like 2 crosshairs that move around slightly.

Also, just make the BR the starting weapon, and the SMG the secondary. In Halo CE, you started with an AR and a pistol. In Halo 2, the BR=pistol. And since everyone switched to the pistol in Halo anyway, just make it the starting weapon.

You should only be able to dual-weild plasma rifles and needlers because their the only ones you would need. Two plasma pistols is just stupid, and if we get assault rifles in Halo 3, why have an SMG? Whenever you're dual-weilding in a big free-for-all, you get blasted to tiny peices with gernades, but then when you go without dual weilding, you just cut in half with SMG fire. So really, the SMG is the one that poses the biggest annoyance.

Remember playing HCE when you could be a great player with anyone of the weapons by themselves, yes even the needler (if you know how to use it properly). Third, if you're playing H2 online and during a match you're stuck with a single SMG (or any of the others), you get cut in half faster than the time it takes you to blink. HCE weapons had balance, please bring that balance back to H3.

i think your just such a noob that ur trying to take a good feature out of a game so u can play better... if dual weilding makes everything to easy y dont u use it

Yeah, they should be less accurate. They should also take longer to reload (if they don't allready, I don't know, I've never timed it) because if you've got two hands and two guns, what are you going to use to reload your weapon.

Well yeah dual wielding takes a lot longer to reload than single wielding.. I personally think that dual wielding allows a person to customise his weapons to his own style and effectively triples the amount of possible weapons and possible gameplans.

As for the smg, i hope it will return as it was the dual wield machine gun. If the assault rifle returns as a heavy machine gun with a greater range then I would expect it to be a single wield weapon, therefore the smg is needed for dual wielding purposes.

Actually, no it doesn't. Finding combos to dual-wield has no strategy. And it doesn't help crappy people.

Duel weilding is awesome and I truely doubt Bungie would take it out, without it they'd have to make the duel weildable weapons more powerful, taking away there distinctiveness and pretty much just making the weapons the same in a sense. The whole aspect of using your second hand to hold another weapon rather than just throwing grenades brought in more tactics and made more interesting and inventive ways to kill people.

Halo 2 lives on.

You can play well with any of the weapons by themselves now if you know how to use them properly. You just have to know when to use certain weapons. Any of the duel wielding weapons are awesome by themselves but you can just obliterate people with the duel-wields.

I think duel wielding adds this chaotic/random element to the game because it kills anyone insanely fast. I really don't see a strategy to it. It's who gets the better combo and can pump more bullets into the other while holding the crosshair steady.

Like the pistol and shotgun on closer maps in CE? Stop complaining about the weapons, there's alot more strategy to this game than what weapon you use and they're pretty well balanced.

1st of all dual wielded guns do take longer to reaload and 2nd of all MC reloads by lowering the 2 guns to 2 packs of ammo long the sides of his thighs, try playing split screen and watch sum1 reload dual wields
