Don't judge someone based on thier own adherence to preset rules, especially when it concerns your own violation of rules. If you've done something wrong, it is thier "sworn and solemn duty" to enforce the rule of law. Don't blame or attack them personally because they ban or blacklist you. What if someone was perpetrating the same crimes against you? I don't think you'd be too satisfied to see the moderator shrug at him and say "You're off the hook this time buddy, just play nice okay?". As Achronos said, the rules were actually agreed on by the Bungie community back when Myth was still new. They are, in some form, not even Bungie's rules.

I like most of the moderators on the forums. Some times they can be a little rude.

So I think Jun's a master chef, because he takes off his helmet and your like whoa, I think he's a chef.

So to shorten this up, Jun is master chef.

The one thing I absolutely despise, is when a moderator locks a thread and:

1.) Doesn't leave who it was.
2.) Doesn't give any reasons.

That pisses me the hell of.

They have their moments when they act like us underlings. Most of the time though we provoke it.

They should be replaced.

We'd love pointers on how to do a better job, if you want to give them.

I think they do just fine. I try to tell them that once every six months or so. When you think about it, how long has it been since you've seen a major spam attack? Along time, that's how long.

Edit: You guys have 14 days to get me an awesome present for my 2nd B.net day.

some moderators do a good job, yes.

But some do not.

and what i hate most of all:
They ban for no reason, or a crappy reason.
They dont give reasons why they ban.
They are not rude, they are -blam!-s.
I think they should let the threads go on, especially flame wars, those are fun.
I think most moderators are too overbearing.
And the worst thing of all, they all think they are f.unny and badasses

You should thank him, you should take whatever life you can get in that wasteland of a group.

I think they do a good job. However, it really doesn't matter what I think. I'm assuming, and correct me if im wrong, that the people who run the website pick the moderators and what they think matters the most. Like the Bungie.net Overloard. I would try to spell his name but I know I would spell it wrong.

I haven't seen one instance of someone getting banned for no reason.
They dont give reasons why they ban.I can't speak for the other mods on this, but if the reason is so obvious you'd have to be a fool to miss it, then you may not always get a direct PM from a moderator, the standard page is to the point, you get banned for breaking the rules. Review your activities and find the culprit, as sometimes the moderators just don't have time to tailor a response directly to you. I try to send a PM each time, but it doesn't always happen, particulary if a forum is busy at the time.
They are not rude, they are -blam!-s. I dunno what you said there, but I don't think it was nice.
I think they should let the threads go on, especially flame wars, those are fun. That ain't gonna happen, keep it civil, or go elsewhere.
I think most moderators are too overbearing. Hey, we're outnumbered. By a lot. You would be too.
And the worst thing of all, they all think they are f.unny and badasses I don't think I'm funny....

elmicker's just mad at me 'cuz I said Lost was an updated Gilligan's Island.

Only less funny and not written as well.

;-)

OMG it's the Others! - yeah, that name took a lot of thought. =P

Simple. You don't watch it, and form a premature opinion about it.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I hate to go more off topic, but Lost is the best.

And just to go back on topic, I love DMB Fan in a non -blam!- way.

new kid was hinting at the whole 'Reiginko Incident of 06' with his comments about Rampant Mods.

Part the first
You are a new kid. KP is not a new kid.

Part the second
The Reiginko Incident occured in 2005.

This website has some reference materials that might help you get to grips with the concept of time.

Wish you were here,
