Inheritor #156 :p

Because 343 doesn't know what a TU is and how it should be put into the whole game not just certain playlists.

Prolonged exposure to this forum is bad for your health.

His answer is valid. The AR rush is even easier now, headshot bleedthrough is -blam!-. I can't accurately gauge when I'm going to die in a DMR firefight now. I could shoot you 2 times with the dmr and bash you for a kill. Thats idiotic as hell.

100% shields = 5 shots.
99.9% or less = 4 shots.

Health pack glitch only shows up when health is damaged by melee.

Happiness is a warm gun

TU solves so many problems it's retarded there is even a debate about it.

Re: Bleedthrough:
Is it fair for me to get 3 shots on a guy sprinting at me and he's still able to double beatdown me? Resulting in both our deaths.

Is it wrong to reward me for getting consecutive headshots on a sheilded opponent?

Re: TU Bloom:
Is it wrong to want a weapon that reliably shoots straight? Is it wrong to get frustrated at people getting lucky spamming their DMR while I try and pace to ensure my shots are pure?

Re: AL: Is it fair for other players to be able to just pause their battle for a whole 6 seconds when you've been outplayed and dug your own grave?

Should I be able to get stuck by a solid sticky to the face, and just press a button to negate it, possibly even killing the person who threw it?

...

If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions, then you are part of the problem.

Founder of Team Reclaimer where we specialize in Big Team Battle and Invasion games. We are all about Communication, Dedication and Fun.

I don't understand why TU has to be the main option for every good playlist. I played Reach since it first came out, and now I feel like I have to relearn the game because of damage bleed-through. The shield-popping made it so much easier to tell when a headshot or melee would kill, and now I get killed all the time because people melee me while my shields are still up and I'm not expecting it to kill. Also, the zero bloom settings are just RIDICULOUS. The pistol is now the most powerful weapon that you can start with simply because you can spam the trigger and get all headshots. Come on, it's a PISTOL! Now that ZB is being promoted to competitive, some games are going to be hell to play. I feel like 343 is trying to make reach more like the other halos, which it was never intended to be. Bringing halo CE settings into reach is a perfect example of this. The reach pistol is already so much better than the halo CE pistol because it doesn't have a noticeably limited fire rate and is much more accurate. Combining that with a three-headshot kill is just a bad idea. I know it's too late for reach, but I hope halo 4 ends up more like the original reach.

No, what's idiotic is that 3 shots+beatdown = 1 beatdown. Thats no bleedthrough. Dumb as hell and derpfriendly.
herp derp I have to actually use my brain and fire another shot before meleeing instead of just spamming melee when I'm close! That's dumb as hell and derpfriendly! Herp derp!

There is an entire second delay after meleeing where the user cannot melee, shoot, or throw grenades. If you can't kill the dude by using your brain a little bit, that's your own damn fault.

Wut.

The Reach pistol has a much more limited range compared to CE pistol. Play a game on Hang 'em High in both Anniversary Reach and CE. You will notice that despite having bullet gravity and lacking hitscan, the CE pistol can cross map far more effectively than the Reach version. While I disagree with your perception of the Reach pistol's precision at mid to far range, I agree that hitscan makes close range encounters easier to 3Sk than it should be. However, this is more a fault of Reach's sluggish movement speed than the 3SK pistol.

Reach makes me want to gargle gasoline whiling jerking myself off with sandpaper.

343 should of just applied it to everything and kept TU out of the gametype name. Casual kids can't tell the difference

  • 02.15.2012 11:45 AM PDT

no halo reach came out by bungie not 343 industries. 343 is making halo 4

  • 02.15.2012 11:58 AM PDT

Boltshot = mini shotgun

It will stay in Reach, even if it dwindles down to 1 playlist.
Half the time I play Team Slayer, the regulars there vote default DMR or AR starts.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

The melee change should have been to a three-hit kill instead of bleed-through "two bullets and a punch kills you" settings. That worked well in Halo 2 and in MLG settings. It stops both effective AR-rushing and double-punchers.

I <3 Halo:Reach - amazingly fun and best campaign + amazing Soundtrack
I <3 Halo 3:ODST - best soundtrack + Firefight + Coastal Highway and Mombassa Streets, amazingly unique campaign.
I <3 Halo 3 - best multiplayer levels + Forge + best Custom Games + soundtrack
I <3 Halo 2 - amazing huge fun campaign + soundtrack + Fun multiplayer
I <3 Halo: CE - started it all

Because not everyone likes the TitleUpdate. Deal with it. We all have opinions, and the people who act like they know everything on how to create a perfect game, and everything they say is correct, just piss me off.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

The default settings were made by Bungie. Therefore they are perfect, no matter that actual experience with the settings proves otherwise.

I agree with you, except for the bleedthrough part. The bleedthrough should only be applied to melee. It is ridiculous to still have some shields and still be vulnerable to a headshot. What's the point in your shields popping then? Maybe it's just because I played Halo 3 a lot, but when I have ANY amount of shields, headshots should NOT count.

That is incredibly wrong. In Halo 3 you could have a tiny bit of shields and be shot with one three round burst to the head and die. So even if you had shields, the burst still could kill you.

With Reach, however, it is not a burst weapon. It is a single-shot, so it works differently. I do not like the bleedthrough headshots with a single bullet because it doesn't make sense. I feel that bleedthrough should not be in the TU because its main goal was to change the melee system, which I feel could have been changed with just reducing the strength of the melee.
