What does "bleed through" mean, when referring to the TU changes?

EDIT: Got it. Thanks!

It's when someone has shields left after shooting them, and you melee, the damage takes down the rest of the shield and also their health, which depending on how much shield was left, would kill them.

It means that you can kill someone that still has low shields much more easily. So, if you low shields, headshots and melees can kill you. This eliminates the "two melees > 3 DMR shots + melee" thing.

Man why does noone even try to research whatever they are about to post as a question to the community? Whatever happened to "It's easy finding it in Google"?

More social asking someone, aaaand, it's nice to see something new.

Bleedthrough is when damage done to the shields deplete them as well as any damage leftover damages health. With no bleed through any amount of damage, not explosives though, doesn't go on health even though it's large enough to take health damage.

Example:

Damage: 3
Shields: 2
Health: 1
Bleed through: Off

Damage is more than you have shields so after damage is done you have no shields. The remaining 1 damage isn't considered. You're still alive with one health

Damage: 3
Shields: 2
Health: 1
Bleed though: On

After the damage you have no shields and there is 1 damage point left, and you have one health point left. As bleed through is on, any damage left after depleting your shields goes to damage your health, so in this case you die because the remaining 1 damage point damages you remaining 1 health point.
