well, in the books, it says ais go insane after some time. in the novel "the flood" the chief wonders, that, after several thousand years, the monitor might have gone insane, as all ai eventually do. if he has, that might explain all his nonsence giggling...but most importantly, he might be confusing humans for the forerruners, and all the nonsence speach he makes that leads people to believe that the master chief went back in time. tell me what you think.

I think Guilty Spark is insane, to a point. But the forerunners had much better technology, therefore should have been able to create a better and smarter AI.

sure, they could have. but seeing as how he is still alive (all ais die like in 7 years) maybe they were only able to fix his life span and make him a bit less insane (seeing as how he doesnt talk gibberish.)

That doesn't explain why there are so many human flood on the Halo's.

Also, I don't think the Monitor applies to the same seven year life span rule...

Halo CE = Lan party
Halo 2 = Live
The reason so many people think halo 2 takes no skill is because in halo ce the only competition were friends in the next room. when the same people get on live, they realize they are no where close to being the best and therefore blame their loss on unbalance in the weapons and game.

then why are humans the only ones that can activate halo? and if he just is jsut plain insane then why didnt he just mistaken teh covies as teh forunners? because humans resemble the forunners.

Yea and Cortana was getting hints of system corruption/slowdown with all the Forerunner data stored in her in the novels.

Maybe the Forerunner also based AI off of someone's neural patterns (as humans do), and Guilty Spark was based off of some crazy Forerunner scientist...

Who cares about 343 Guilty Spark? But if you think that 343 confused the humans for the Forerunners... how can you explain the Ark bein under the Earth's crust? Could it be coinsidence? I don't think so.

Q: If the friggin Ark was under New Mambosa all that damn time... Don't you think the humans should have somehow discovered it or something? Or detected the machinary that (I bet, and is mostlikely) in the Ark?

Well, the Forerunners were obviously far more advanced technologically. While I'm not ruling out the very possible...possibilty that 343 is insane, it's also possible that Forerunner AIs and Modern Human AIs don't operate on the same level, or maybe even the same technological plane.
