Many, oh so many, have speculated that the Forerunners are human...I have been a fan of this idea but just to throw a bone out there - What if they where machines?

Some say that they were highly advanced human beeings, but would it not be plausible that they were created by humans and like smart AIs they evolved and learned to reproduce?

I cant say that i have much proof to this but I'm simply tossing it out there since I feel that the debate concerning their true nature is somewhat rigid..

P.S when 343 GS says that "I am glad to see that some of you survived to reproduce", perhaps he confuses the Chief with a, yeah you got it, machine?

Just a thought.

then halos would not have killed them because halos kill all sentinant life.

Yeah I'm fully aware that the Halos kill all sentient life, let us call that fact... Then let us take the time to ponder if the Forerunners are in fact dead? Do we know this for sure?

Would not the Halos then be a far more adequate weapon?
