Subject: Possible Return of the Whats Weekly Update?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Now that Halo 3 has been announced, does anyone suppose that the return to the
Whats Weekly Update could Happen?

For those of you who may be new, Its basically like the weekly update, but we the members can submit questions about the game and the site to a thread or through PMs to bungie, and those that ask good questions will have them answered by Frankie every Friday.

I found the Whats Weekly Update to be loads of fun because frequently asked questions where answered by an official bungie person, you got to ask your own questions and hope with all your might that it is choosen to be anwsered, the info given was always amazing even if it wasnt so special, and rumors that spread like wild fire were put out very fast.
It gave us a chance to have more of an interaction with the higherups of bungie.

So would anyone like to see a return of it in the near Future? And possibly a thread for it like we had in New Mombasa?

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Didn't they do that last week?

The problem is that you can answer a question so many times. What would be the basic questions?

When are you going to be done with Halo 3?

Will Halo 3 be on the original Xbox?

What will be in Halo 3?

Can we see some more screeshots?

Will there be a demo?

What are you going to do with Halo 2?

And so on.

Very Good Point, but im sure the same was with halo 2 and they still managed to keep things fresh for us.

The WWU started after halo 2 was released. Before it, it was only Halo 2 or Bungie Weekly Updates, like it is now.

I read Frankie's ramblings more for entertainment value than information about Halo 3. The questions that most people ask are honestly boring. The more Frankie writes the better. The less he has to talk about the better. If Frankie has a focus, like the UI article he did, no fun. Without focus he talks about cool things like curry and sour cream mixes and P@S. P@S would be a far superior game to Halo 3 and every true Bungie fan knows it.

Until they release more info on the game it would basically be all the same questions with the same "no comment" answer, since all the questions that seem to be able to have a response from bungie have been asked.

Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Parhaps just the 'Weekly update' like when Halo 2 was being fed to us bit by bit, but less information this time, so that the fans don't make the same mistakes they made last time. (Only the observent would know what I mean)
