The warrior only laughed... It sent a mental message to the Guardian, "is there anyway to fake the deaths of the children. I still need the one, the other is disposable."

There was no response. Dunne walked back into the brig, asking a crew member, "Is Blake aboard one of those dropships? Are they heading here?"

<I dont intend to turn them back over to the fleet any time soon, for now we need these people, otherwise, the protectorate would blast us out of the sky!>

"now we are making progress..."

"First, I demand that you lower your shields, disarm your weapons, and disable your engines, oh, and prepare to be boarded, so we can accept you surrender."

The crew member responded, "Yes, I'm not sure which one he is on though, but his dropship is the only one comming here." Dunne looked out at the dropships as one broke from the formation, heading towards them. Dunne had emotions of both relief and anger. "Just great," he simply murmured...

"very well, prepare to be boarded."

Several dozen Centurion drones arrive on each of the ships, and take their stations inside the bridges of the vessels, to ensure nobody attempts to attack the tempest.

"secondly, all officers, crewmen, and security personnell aboard your ships must relinquish their firearms, and be put into the brigs of their respective ships. you will be teleported aboard the Tempest."

Chronus teleports the General aboard the Tempest.

"Im glad to hear you opted for the voice of reason, general. Next, however, will require a major leap of faith on your part.. I want you to aid me in attempted coup against the Confederacy of Empires, the leading power in this Galaxy!"

"Do not be so sure; if my plan goes correctly, within thirty years, this galaxy will be defended by a fleet of over 300 Tempest replicas; The blade of the past will secure our future!"

With that, he freed the soldiers from their brigs, and began to discuss his battle plans..

As Chronus seems content in his victory, he grows slightly uneasy, almost sensing something in his presence, observing him. As if out of instinct (but robots don't have that, do they?), he turns to see if something indeed lurks behind him. Finding nothing, he returns to face forward, and instantly, a flash of light momentarily blinds him. As he focuses to see through the oppressive glare, A slightly familiar voice emanates from the room around him.

Sad, demented fool. I've dealt with rampant AI's before... you're almost a stereotype, you know that? I gave you a warning before, and you've still dealt very poorly with your reception of it. Have you forgotten? I will not spare you again, should you continue. The unrighteous will know judgement. I will be watching.

With that, the brightness fades except for a brief image of a figure... almost a shadow himself save for his blazing eyes, infuriated with a flame of such pure light that Chronus could neither stare nor look away from them; he was fixed terribly in their gaze. The figure raised his right hand, exposing the hilt of a sword, before vanishing from his sight, leaving all as it was before on the bridge of the Tempest. Except, to Chronus' alarm, the initials CMD burned deep into the floor beneath his feet.

Dang guys... do I always get on right after you do?

Are you sure, Reaper? Cause I'm afraid what you'll do if I let you live another day. heh.
I'll try to think of something for later. I would not consider it wise to ignore my warnings, though. Good battle guys. I really enjoyed reading that one. I'll be back later then.

Still Rampant,
Dolorous

Oh...Kay... I have missed quite a bit. Here is my remedy to this pickle: I will give all of my forces to one person, if they can prove that they are immune to going evil/crazy/posessed/converted to evil.

The prizes for the winner is:
500 highly trained Marines, in full body titanium armour with nuclear/chemical/biological protection armed with supersonic machine guns that fire titanium rounds with 500 round clips.

15 cruisers, with partical cannons, missile pods, heavy armour. PLUS top-secret Event Drives on each cruiser that allows instant travel between points in the universe.

100 dropships, with chainguns mounted top and bottom. Can hold 10 marines (one squad) into heavy fire and out again. Also has the Event Drive on each Dropship. (Fighters do not have Event Drives, only regular Slipspace)

700 Fighters, with light armour, missile pods and partical beams.

The Shadetacular, the flagship, a huge cruiser with ultra heavy armour, heavy partical cannons, dropship and fighter bays, a Event Drive, and a special weapon, the Irradiater, that channels nuclear radiation from the reactors to the partical cannons, then blasts it down to a planet, killing all life in a selected area.

Whoever can post here the best reason why they should have this fleet, get it. Let the Games begin!
