if there was no halo movie then some people could curl up into a ball and hurt themselves, so i reckon to keep everybody happy they should make a halo movie, plus it would make a lot of money cause games that come off movies are crap caust they are rushed but movies that are made off of games are good it is a proven fact

Uh, no.

First off, there's nothing we could ever do to "keep everyone happy." Second, just because you liked Resident Evil doesn't mean everyone else did, nor does it mean that movies based on games are good. Street Fighter sucked, Mortal Kombat sucked, Mario Brothers was terrifyingly bad, and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within did so badly Squaresoft had to shut down their movie company. Both Tomb Raiders were nothing to be proud of, either.

Bungie has no intention of letting their property become another one of these crappy game-gone-film's. So, with sincerest apologies, those people you mentioned can go ahead and curl up into a ball, because they're not getting their movie.

I'm certifiable.

Well, the first Mortal Kombat flick wasn't bad at all. It was a heart-pumping no-brainer actioner and did it well... though the sequel did retroactively pollute the entire franchise quite thoroughly. Shame, really.

And it's also a shame that the Final Fantasy storyline was so, uh, out there. It didn't suck, but it kinda catered more to those following oriental as opposed to occidental philosophies. (Too zen-anamist-Gaia-fuzzy to work in North America, in other words.) Oh, and Baldwin's character did a totally weird flip-flop there at the end, and James Woods' character was far too incompetant to have risen to that level of power. If they'd only let me write the script, they might still have a movie studio. Heh.

However, the general trend is that games make lousy movies and movies make lousy games. (ET phone agent. Get name off bad license. Ouuuch.)
