The Flood Forum

Wrong forum, this is a bungie only forum, as Microsoft is no longer affiliated with bungie, the flood would be a better place for it.

Actually it's relevant in the sense that, whether it's the first or second game in the Grognok saga that makes an appearance on Microsoft's new console, it will eventually appear... I did read the descriptions for the subforums, but obviously they're not written well enough if I'm ending up posting it in the wrong place.

The question was also partly to aid in what features might allow for better features we might see translate through to engage players with Bungie.

1. Grognok is (most likely) not the name of the next game. Grognok is a program for making large scale environments and terrain, not a game (from my understanding).

2. If you want this to be appropriately placed, make it about what possible aspects of the Xbox 720 could Bungie utilize in future games or something like that.

I want the 720 to turn on with a voice command.

I want the 720 to charge my controller batteries with a wireless circuit.

I want the 720 to allow me to use Google Music.

I want the 720 to have backwards compatibility with PS1 games so I can play FFVII again.

I want the 720 to have an embedded bottle opener.

I want the 720 to not be called the 720.

Oh....and coffee. I like coffee.

Perhaps the new console will have an integrated Kinect Camera embedded into its shell. At the moment, however, this interface is pretty juvenile in general functionality with games; with the exception of ME3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and even then controls are still really basic. Should there be improvements to this device, I think it should be in player interaction. Much of the motion-capture seems be centered on your body colliding with virtual objects in the 3D space (as with exercise games), but what I'd like to see is you placing you palm over an object, closing it, and then lifting that object to somewhere else.

Now if Bungie's next game is going to be a world you can explore and interact with, just as you would IRL, that improvement alone could be very useful in giving things to other players/NPCs for quests, solving puzzles, collecting items to assemble in the inventory the player can then use, or even drawing a symbol with your finger ingame as a passkey to open something...

Waving one's arms around to blast back a ball might be MS' cup of tea, but Bungie has been about evolving gameplay and I'd like the interface to finally be a bit more immersive. Maybe they can lead that charge with better Kinect functionality.

I don't want it to be called the Xbox 720, either - maybe the Xbox Sphere (bringing a more 3-dimensional concept to play).

I'd love a way to feed discs into my Xbox, without having to open the tray and place it in - something very much akin to the Nintendo Wii.
