Bye.

After seeing this thread about "Getting A Job At Bungie". It made me think about the old "Breaking In" articles that Urk used to do.

For those of you who don't remember them, Urk would grab an employee from a different discipline within Bungie and interview them. "How did you get your start at Bungie?", "Whats a good strength to have in (respective discipline)?", "Did you eat my sandwich at lunch?"

So, what I was going to suggest was moving all these "Breaking In" articles into the "Career Opportunities / Jobs section of the Bungie Network. A lot of other sites will usually have employee interviews about their job and "what makes working at "Super-Duper Industries Inc LLC' different from other jobs out there?" on their Job listings page.

If you were looking at possibly getting a job you could read an interview from someone with a similar or even the same job. This gives off a better personal connection than simply reading page after page of "we want X, Y and Z!!!!." It's also practical to have it all collected and organised on the jobs page rather than having to search back through the news feed (7+ pages).

Do you think the "Breaking In" articles be moved to the Jobs page?

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I wouldn't see the problem with having a section for them in the Jobs page, so sure, why not?

They should at least be linked on the Jobs page, maybe right above the jobs list.

Bye.

They are linked near the bottom but I think an actual: "Breaking in"
Animation- Bill O' Brien
Engineering architect- Natalya Tatarchuk
Test Lead- Dave Gasca

would be a better idea than a little link near the bottom of the page that isn't that noticeable.
