I joined because of Halo 3, then started getting involved a bit in the community, became friends with people, and stayed since.

Pretty much this.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

This. And the stats.

I honestly just wanted the 7th Column next to my Halo 3 gamertag.

  • 02.19.2012 4:40 AM PDT

I originally wanted to see my medals and to get the 7th Column by my name in Halo 3.

  • 02.19.2012 4:42 AM PDT

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Came for the stats, stayed because of how immature it was and the jokes.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Came here for the Halo 2 stats, made an account for the Halo 3 ARG.

Get the hell off my planet!

I came as I started my journey into Xbox Live with Halo 3, and stayed when I discovered the loving embrace of The Flood. But, as of last year, I have ventured outside of The Flood, and expanded into the Community forum. To think, this all began in August 2008.

I heard there were hot chicks everywhere here. I was wrong.

Hard is good.

I will still blindly buy any Halo game.

I'm no Ken, but I take pride in my 3 master chief figurines, the only merchandise from a game I have ever purchased (apart from a minecraft pick that I got for Christmas, but that doesn't count).

Came for the septagon, stayed for who the hell knows.

Old School Gamer and Proud Member of the Seventh Column

I came here to learn how to get better at Halo. That didn't work. But I stayed As I learned how awesome Bungie is and her community.

*reminisces when the Bungie/Halo community wasn't made up of CoD kids*

glory days here I come..
*vanishes*

I first arrived here back in 2005 just to look at screenshots of Halo 2 and lurk around the forums.

Three years later I joined for the stats and the forums.

I'm here now as a Halo fan and a Bungie fan.

I joined Bungie.net as only a Halo fan, but then I converted to a Bungie fan afer I started posting here more.

Ah, yes, I was rather hungry for some repeat topics this morning. Stats, lame jokes; you know the story.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Same as yours.

DOES THIS MEAN HALO 3 IS MADE BY BUNGIE?!?

I came here as a Bungie fan, became a Halo fan, got banned from Halo 2 matchmaking for modding, (Don't judge me! I was a young man destined to become a Software Engineer. Of course I was going to see what I could do!), made another GamerTag, having to give up my Xbox Live account from November of 2002, and here I stand. I won't lie, though. I had to walk away for a bit. The overly demanding, complaint filled youth of the forums were a bit too overwhelming. I'm absolutely thrilled that I can enjoy it again.
