Let me start out that I love Halo and its PC version but this error is driving me up the wall!
I have tried to start a 24/7 dedicated server on Halo PC with semi-luck. Everyone can see the server no problem but when they attempt to join it just keeps looping saying it is attempting to join. I am able to join the server no problem.
Some important info to know:
- I own a Linksys router and have forwarded to ports 80, 2302 and 2303.
- The server is purely dedicated to only Halo and a game called Blockland (tried hosting without the blockland game with no luck)
- I have tried both Halo PC and Halo CE both with the same error.
- The server runs on Windows 2000
- No firewall is on the server computer or router.
This is how I have the .ini file set up:
sv_name Scatter
sv_public True
sv_maxplayers 10
sv_password Halo
sv_mapcycle_timeout 30
sv_tk_ban 4
sv_tk_penalty 5m 1d 0
sv_tk_penalty 5m 1h 8h 1d
sv_tk_cooldown 5m
sv_tk_grace 3s
sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add timberland "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add damnation "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add dangercanyon "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add carousel "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add gephyrophobia "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_add infinity "team slayer"
sv_mapcycle_begin
I really hope I can get some help on this issue as I have tried everything I know.
