rate of speed at LEAST as fast as Master Chief can move.

False.

Again, I point out how a brute can take several mags from an assault rifle point blank with no injury.
Most definitely false.

You mean First strike is lying then? Cause IIRC, Chief makes the comment on the blur of motion tracker that it is as fast as him. Also you know, the higher gravity world the brutes come from means they'll naturally be faster, stronger, and more agile.

Also, IIRC in the First strike scene, they go all out unloading on the brute and it does nothing but piss it off.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

And ya'know, ship battles mean much more than ground-side battles. They're all brawn and no brain. A tactical mind is necessary for spaceship battles.

The Brutes would just abandon their spaceships and attack the Elite ones on foot, using their teeth to tear through the hull and eat all the Elites inside, while savagely destroying everything in their path, leaving nothing but slag and shrapnel.

In other words, Truth was the real retard. I mean really, Truth is a huge crazy dumbass...

DaeFaron, you are exaggerating and you know it. There is not a biological entity in the galaxy that can withstand the hundreds of rounds from multiple clips of AR Ammo.

Maybe not mutliple mags, sure. But they can take a good many bullets point blank to the chest.

Sure, spraying might score that lucky as hell bullet to the eye that headshots the brute, but that's chance. You still haven't shown anything saying a marine can keep his composure in the face of the charge of an enraged brute.

Oh, and you know, brute weapons would be more dangerous then mere plasma. Spiker rounds = hurt more.

Funny, you are acting like all brutes automatically go berserk at start of fight, when depending on the pack, they might not berserk at all.

Also, some wear power armor. That'd grant them more protection against small arms fire as well. Shields go out? the armor plates still defend them.

I call gameplay. Halo Wars have brutes in power armor, it doesn't fly off.

Not to mention it's awful armor if as soon as the shields go out it explodes off :P.

Edit: Memory might be bad, but doesn't the armor in contact harvest (which is like the halo 3 one) not fall off after shields are popped?

The brutes may have been strong, but they are also very primative. One of the main reasons they lacked in battle was their poor knowledge of how to problem solve.

Yeah, it only fell off in Halo 3, which imo it shouldn't have. It doesn't make sense for it to fall off, it should have just been the same kind of armour elites had :P

They were capable of putting rockets into space. That in itself is a feat which crosses so many different scientific disciplines such as mathematics, physics, engineering and even biology in order to understand the effects of space environments on the body. If they were poor at problem solving I doubt they would have achieved that. They also developed the firebomb grenade's formula. That stuff burns at 4000*C as soon as it come into contact with oxygen. There would be a fair amount of problem solving on how to safely mass produce and stabilize that.

Good point. They might not have poets and artists, but they clearly know how to make effective weapons and mass produce them.

Armor Lock vs. Top Speed, Approaching Ghost = Super Awesome!

Repeated Fact: Brutes are STUPID and SLOW, their intellect is way more primitive than that of Drones, Elites, Humans, Prophets and [maybe] even Jackals.

Do you have any evidence or reasoning for this "fact"?

Oh look, people under estimating the Brutes...again. If the Brutes were "stupid" or "retarded" they wouldn't have reached tier 4 or even exist for that matter.

They may not be as smart as the Elites or Humans but that doesn't mean they're stupid. Combat wise the Elites and Brutes are almost evenly matched, the only thing bringing the Brutes down is they're aggressive nature.

I agree, underestimate an enemy = giving them an advantage.

Brutes are stupid, in matters of let's say math or art. But warfare? Combat? They are cunning and brilliant. The chopper for example. The engineer built it as a plow/tractor, and the brutes instantly took it and turned it to an absolutely deadly machine of carnage.

People also forget a major, major detail. A marine squad (no heavy weapons/no turret) faces a brute chieftain, or a group of brutes. Let's say they manage to kill a few and then the remaining ones or one of them goes berserk. You think the marines would sit there and manage to keep their fire/calm with a roaring, enraged brute going full speed (which is as fast as Master Chief at least) toward them?

To be honest. Any species could have seen a combat advantage of the vehicle the engineer made. They only added a mounted gun/turret. To make a point on that, the engineer made that vehicle. Not the brutes.

We only need to look at the space battle above the Ark in Halo 3 to find the brutes "Intelligence". They outnumbered the Elites 3 to 1 and still lost.
And how? To superior tactical brilliance and intelligence for the knowledge of battle.

It may have been a space battle. But to those odds and superior firepower, Im sure much of the intelligence transfer to the battles on the ground as well.

Kinda pointless after they nuked themselves back down.

Yeah but they still got to that tier which proves that they're far from stupid in the sense that they were actually clever enough to develop nukes. The only reason why they nuked they're planet was because of their aggressive nature not stupidity.

Well. In real life you would have to be a moron to nuke another country.

We all know what nukes do, the destruction they cause, and are well aware that many countries of the world have them.

And you wanna know why countries would never resort to nuclear war? Because effectively you are nuking yourself because you can almost guarantee the retaliation with be with another nuke to your country.
You would have to be stupid to nuke another country in full knowledge they they possess nuclear arms. Its suicide.

Okay then, sure the engineer made it, but the brutes mass produced it. And then made the prowler (the one with side-seats) by themselves.

Also, your halo 3 example doesn't prove they are stupid.

Can we really call somebody/a race stupid if they were never given the chance to really learn? Cause that's what happened with the bulk of brutes. They were never GIVEN the chance to learn about the brand new Covenant ship tech/tactics.

A prowler is just a larger Chopper with more seats and a turret attached on top.

I'd call any species that beats itself from the space age back to the stone age kind of retarded.

Sure, there are "intelligent" brutes, but the majority are essentially barbarians. Read "Stomping on the heels of a fuss". For that matter, Humans are almost no better.

Anyway, we are in no position to comment about the superiority of Humans. The current state of affairs in the world proves that. It all boils down to how to socialise and progress as a people.

But Brutes aren't real or human are they? If you're human then yes it is stupid to nuke another country. Maybe what the Brutes did to themselves was stupid. But they as a speacies are not as stupid as people are making them out to be, which is what I'm trying to say. If they were as stupid as people are saying they wouldn't have been able to SLAUGHTER the Elite councilors in Halo 2.

It's not just about strength, which is actually very irrelevant in a high tech war. Humans and Shangheli both have superor tech, which is why they won.

Ah yeah, that'd explain how the humans were defeated again and again, and any victory was merely delaying destruction.

And how the Brutes managed to kill a damn lot of Elites.

What the heck does "in real life" mean? They didn't win, they lost hard. And that wasn't due to gameplay mechanics, it was due to the storyline saying that they lost.

No, they lost because Bungie needed to have the humans win.
