Subject: Why the colors are Red and Blue

All research and information credit goes to my friend XTimeLessOneX.

Have you ever wandered why the team colors from Matchmaking are red and blue? Like why are they not green and purple? I know why and I'll tell you all.

Everyone knows about the war of the Percursers and Forerunners right? The Forerunners came out victorious..... Or as people beleive. There was one Percurser left. The Timeless One. The Forerunners thought The Time Less One was to strong. They locked him up in a prison all alone. The Timeless One escaped and created the Flood for vengeance on the Forerunners. The prison is as we know today is Solitary. On the Halo: Reach map Solitary if you go where the GRD Doll is there our lots of tubes that our blue...... Also there is a short tunnel and at the end there is a strange design on it. It looks like a Percurser..... The Timeless One. Me and my friend believe that the wall is a door leading to where the Forerunners were holding The Timeless One. Now go to the middle of the map. There is a huge hole in the wall or where The Timeless One escaped. Next if you get out of the map there is two suns and the whole entire planet is covered with snow and is in a blizzard. Now I know what your thinking. If there is two suns, then how is it in a blizzard? This is why, Forrunners made inside planets that allowed them to change the climate no matter how many suns or how much heat was there. That proves it was a Forerunner ship.... A purplish blue one. Also the description of the map Solitary says that a "special prisoner" was held there and escaped. Even the name proves it "Solitary" a word for confined alone.

Now go to the Halo: Reach map Beaver Creek. The red and blue bases our different in design. Go to the blue base, inside, it has a design on the wall. That is a design of a Forerunner. Now go to the red base. Inside, it also has a design on it. Have you guessed it yet? It's a Percurser. The design inside the red base is also similar to the door they kept The Timeless One behind on Solitary.

Now go to the Halo: Reach map Forge World. Forge World also known as the Halo Ring.... And the Finale/Ultimate Battle of the Percursers and Forerunners war. Go flying around Forge World. You see all of these flowers right? Those flowers our dead burried Percursers and Forerunners. The red ones our Percursers and the purplish blue ones our Forerunners. Did you notice that there our way more red flowers then purplish blue ones? Because the Forerunners won the war. Does anyone see a pattern here?

There is more evidence through out Halo History. From Halo CE to Halo 4. That is why the colors are Red and Blue.

Because green and purple would be strange and red and blue are natural enemies.

Naturally.

Simple. Blue is Bungie's color, and red is the color of the blood of their enemies when they take over the world. Therefore, blue is the best, but red is physically the most dominant color. Makes a perfect battle for superiority when you put the two together. Thus, more intense gameplay.

Jeez, thought everyone knew that.

Reach is 100% perfect, and the single most competitive game since Candyland. Anyone who dares question the godly powers of Bungie is obviously just bad at Halo.

Well that doesn't explain why every other game in the universe uses red and blue

Well, what was his source then? "Research and information" means he did research and got information, and apparently found out the Precursor will show up in Halo 4.

I want to know where he learned that.

Also, if you've read Primordium...

*Spoiler warning spoiler warning spoiler warning!*

...You'd know the Timeless One is a Gravemind. (Or is he...?)

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

It's red vs blue, because the majority of people who play are white. Which is kinda funny cause you all act like a bunch of...

America...-blam!- YEAH!

omg not realistic stop game production plz

The Forerunners didn't imprison him, ancient Humanity did.

The Timeless One didn't create the Flood either...

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

I think you thought a little to far into this...They have been red and blue since Halo CE. Long before the timeless one or whatever had been thought up.

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

Red versus blue is a common theme. Both are primary colors, they contrast against each other, and are both easily identifiable and distinguishable. The same concept is used in politics. Unless the liberal/conservative color descriptors are also based on a battle between the forerunners and the precursors. Actually, I think that's it. The Halo saga has retroactively inspired every use of red vs. blue in history. That's the only way it makes sense..

If Primordium is to be believed, the Timeless One may very well be the Flood, or at least a Flood recreation of a Precursor.

...And I'm still waiting for my source, OP. I think it's just red vs blue for the sake of red vs blue; there's no real story behind it.

Red and blue are not inverted colors necessarily, but they have opposites on human behaviors. Red is a color of excitement, war, anger, sex, blood, excitement. While blue is a color of depression, calming, peace. These colors could also symbolize things such as good vs. evil or maybe even the Allies vs. the Axis.

...Or, so you know who to shoot and who not to shoot. Like in Chess; if you pick the darker pieces, then you know "these are yours. See those lighter pieces? Go kill them."
