Scince Bungie is not allowing anymore halo posts in the bungie universe and bungie community forums, do you think we are losing members because of Bungie being in the dark, or gaining members because of their secret project (Destiny)?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I say we are constant.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Hard to say. You can guarantee activity will increase seven-fold once they give us more details on Destiny.

I would say it's kinda neutral at the moment. Some members have decided to take a break until Bungie comes out of the dark, and we still see new members joining regularly.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

We certainly aren't gaining a lot of new forum goers, but I know that we aren't losing too many forum goers since the majority of users have already either went to Halo Waypoint/343i or stayed here.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Anything any user says is pure rubbish, to be honest. The only people who can give us a real answer are the Web Team. However, I don't see them doing that any time soon.

Although I would like to know, I also like the opinions of others to see if the community thinks the forums are declining or improving.

You know our motto, We deliver!

I think we may be losing members but it's seems that we are staying at a fair constant.

It really is difficult to say, but I would not be surprised if it is staying pretty constant.

I <3 you too Bungie

Public analytics seem to support that all metrics are trending down. Even the non-traffic ones such as time on site and pageviews/user

Edit: Dammit, I can't get my posts correct on the first try today.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

As bungie went dark the activity level here dropped considerably, but we are pretty much staying consistant, since everyone who is going to leave is pretty much gone already, but we aren't really gaining that many people either.

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

I wouldn't say that we are gaining new forum members, but I have seen a recent return from elder users.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

The site is definitely declining, but this happens every time in between games.

Anyone who's on here once a week can see that we're losing popularity and active members.

I suspect that the member count is staying relatively the same.

  • 02.20.2012 11:58 AM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

Either way, I don't really mind.

And I'm sure activity will pick up again once they announce their new IP.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I would say bungie.net is losing members. There is no reason for it to be gaining members, considering everyone who wants to talk about Halo (should) go to the 343i site. There is nothing else of interest here for new members really.

New Flood

We are hemorrhaging members and activity.

Well I can almost guarantee we're not gaining many new members, because there is nothing drawing them in. Whereas, we will probably lose more members when 343 drops more Halo 4 info. I'd say we're loosing more members then anything right now. However, once Bungie announces the new IP old fans/members will return with new members. Especially, once the title is launched.

I haven't been here for a year and these forums are definitely less populated than before. But I guess it's normal since they have yet to reveal their new IP.

You only die once, better make it count.

(looks in 343i forums) I dont really think they're losing members.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I would say its staying about the same

Losing. Things will pick up when the next project is announced.

There are three people I serve. God, Chuck norris, and Evilcam.

I would say we are staying the same.
