Subject: The Strive to boot!

Hey community,

It seems that most of the people who play Halo: Reach love to kick unsuspecting people when they betray someone. Sometimes, it's a given you should kick them, that's only if they're being completely dumb. But most of the time, it's an accidental betrayal, yet, you still get booted out of the game because of it. I think we have all experienced this moment and we think, "What the -blam!-??"

We are left to ponder why in the world we got kicked for such a mediocre action; well.

So for all of you booters out there, what strides you to rightfully boot someone, or to kick them for "kicks."

Clone is an internet God.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

This would have an impact if there were more than ~1,000 players on this forum.

Worth a shot, sadly you may be right.

Too bad Halo seemed to die down, forum wise any ways. The game kicks a lot of ass by itself just because of the fun factor you can't find in MW3 or games like that.

Bungie should start kidnapping young children and force them to post on the forums for the rest of their lives.

my faithful... stand firm....

I was thinking the exact same thing today. I can understand if someone walks up to you and slices you with an energy sword to get your weapon that you would boot them, but things like banshees and rocket launchers that have wide area's of effect should have a common understanding that it was a mistake. Its their own loss too, because they basically sign a death warrant when they kick somebody. it makes the teams uneven.

Yeah I know what you mean.

I think the system is a little unjust any ways - it seems you get booted for one accidental betrayal. Sucks when you actually are trying to play, and they're the ones ruining the experience.

I tend to kick people when I know I could win without them, so I kick practically all the time.

I'e never been booted from a game for betraying. I've never betrayed enough in any halo for another player to ever receive to boot option on me.

As for when I get the option I usually boot the person unless I'm with friends of course. I do better without derps on my team.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

I don't kick unless I know that it's intentional. I can deal with an accident, but there really is no reason for anyone to intentionally betray someone on their team.

An idiot walked in front of my sticky during a game where WE were winning because of MY 39 kills, he booted me and they lost. A sad story with a happy ending
