Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.
Yes you read that right folks, it ruins lives.
For those who don't know how it works, it's simply "x" amount of mutes and you'll be auto muted to everyone you match.
People who do not deserve to be muted do get muted, quite often.
How does this ruin lives you ask?
Lets say a dude who loves playing MLG a lot and is quite good, decides he wants to just goof off and play some BTB.
Since he plays MLG constantly, hes auto muted. Not because he's done anything wrong, but just because he plays a competitive playlist where the teams need to mute each other, so they can't hear each others call outs in game. Good job making the only competitive playlist "social" btw.
So lets say fate wanted him to meet his life partner here in this BTB game, but since hes muted she assumes that he did something wrong and doesn't know how the flawed mute ban system works, doesn't unmute him.
> They never chat in game while teaming together
> He never gives her tips an pointers
> He doesn't impress her because they never talked
> They never hit it off an run more games after
> They never add each other
> They never get to know each other better
> They never start seeing each other
> They never end up visiting each other
> They never move in together
> Never get married
> Never spend the rest of their lives together
> Never live happily ever after
Both of these peoples lives are ruined, incomplete, empty, meaningless, alone and all because of a stupid, flawed, unnecessary mute ban system. Introduced because some whinny little cry babies couldn't press a button.
Congratulations Bungie, who knows how many peoples lives you have ruined. You have shown you do not care about your fans.
That is why it needs to go.
Discuss how Bungie not only ruined Halo by introducing a fail, pathetic game known as Reach but also successfully ruined peoples lives.
