"The object of war is not die for your counrty but to make the other bastard die for his."

Ok, i have been reading through the books, playing the games and all that for awhile now but i just happened to stumble upon the species "Sharquoi" now if i missed something or don't something someone let me know. Anyhow if you need to check this out in the halo 2 specail ed. the conversations from the universe booklet came alone with it and in the booklet on the ">>> extract of sanctioned sangheili eavsdrop//for the attention of jialhanae military adjuct ambassador" section/paragraph in green the elite mentions that species.

It's most likely the Drinol.

I'm not sure... I don't think Drinol would be a name the humans gave it (since they don't even know about it). Which would mean that Drinol is probably it's Covenant Name... And if that's so, then Sharqui and it couldn't be the same creature unless the Covenant call it by two different names...

Sangheili means Elite in Covenant. And yes, I know this for a fact... and no, I wont tell you why.

just kidding; take the 'Conversations from the universe' booklet and turn it over...

there you have a list...

Halo Name, slang name, Covenant Name.

Elite: Squid, Split-chin: Sangheili
Hunter: Can, COW <can of worms>, ogre: Lekgolo

(btw, incase you dont know, Hunters are composed of thousands of tiny worms fused together as a kind of colony.)

What does that have anything to do with the Sharquoi?

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

This has been stated many times. Most people think it's the Drinol.

"Sharquoi" not Sangheili, and also on the Drinol thing, that species humans don't know about (thus we have no name for it) and thus far we haven't found the covie's naming their species with two different names, meaning that it's highly unlikely that we have two names for the same species

A lot of people see Sharquoi and get it confused with Sangheili... At least that's what I've noticed on the sites I go to...

I looked into it, and while true, it may infact be a new race (a big nasty one) I feel that it may simply be the name of the Forerunner ship that Truth excaped in at the end of Halo 2.

Its probably refers to the engineers. They are the only species that really haven't been mentioned other than in the books.
