Nah a new map a month would reduce the fun of each one. Then they would be like the map of the month and we will always want more rather than just value those we have.
So long as they choose to include all the maps from halo1, 2, and PC, the need for new maps would be minimal. Though I still say that a good 30% of the total maps for halo 3 should be downloadable material so that it can keep the game alive a bit longer.
That way it will ensure bungie dominance till after the rest of those maps come out.
Though with the capabilities of the 360 and bungie's interest in making a map maker for halo 2 for the vista perhaps they may include some higher level of map making for the gamers in halo 3 for the xbox 360 (as no doubt the PC version will have one).
I wouldn't want a map each month for however long as I rather enjoy the rush of those rare new map days. It makes the whole game feel new again rather than just some ordinary event in which we get a map. Besides the work they would reduce to ensure a map a month would reduce the quality of the maps, I say let them do it on their own pace. Although it would be nice to have some dl suplements sooner after halo 3 than after halo 2.
