You know, he made me laugh. The pointlessness of filling 50 PAGES of New Mombasa with Spam containing the word 'pen' with a 1 and an s minus the spaces, well I thought it was hilarious. And sometimes for a laugh, I'll look at the back of the Flood and read some of the locked topics. Call him what you like, Troll, spammer, he was funny and unique in a place now filled to the brim with suck-ups and small children.

If a member is deemed worthy enough to be put into this poll of yours, they would be worthy enough to become a moderator without people voting for them.

Obviously this is the right idea for a forum, but MAN.

You guys should stay far away from anything to do with anything political. Seriously.

Have you read the rules?

Political discussion isn't allowed.

So they do stay away from it.

I wouldn't consider this really political, since it's merely an idea.

If we had moderators picked by bungie members we'd be letting cheaters and modders vote, meaning that cheating and modding could end up being more acceptable.

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

For a second there I thought I was having De ja Vu.

I think the system is just fine the way it is. The system you are proposing where the mods choose their own members basicly turns the moderators into basicly just the "in-croud" and only include the 1337ists and their buddies (Like it isn't already like that right now)

Ps that last comment was ment to be sarcastic.

Nothing, it was just a way of saying since the influx of new people (h3 people) then there is the potential of more spammers, and other silly users who need to be kept in check. and as always more people = more traffic and more threads to check on.

i support the idea of elected moderators.
They of course would be on a leash, but there are some moderators that i have problems with*shiska**toast*. This would be an excellent idea for chapters, though. Look at body politic, it has the most corrupted moderating staff i have ever seen, Mabian should know waht i am talking about.

go ahead FightingRaven, say what you wanted to say, if the moderators are fair, they wont ban you.

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.

I am perfectly fine with the current system.

We bind their hands and feet and introduce them to the element of water. Usually by throwing them into a lake, river or the ocean.

If they are worthy, the water will accept them and they will sink. If they are not worthy, the spirit of the water will attempt to reject them and they will float.

If they float, they are obviously not moderator material. We then burn them at the stake. If they sink, then they are worthy. But.... unfortunately, they've also drowned. *shrug*

But they drowned for a good cause!
So Moderators weigh the same as a duck? Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?

I say, whoever usually chooses the next forum moderator/ninja, should find 4-6 people he thinks would be good for the job. THen he posts a poll on them in this forum, and the members vote. We couldnt vote for people who would go crazy because it would still be up to him to choose the 4-6 people.

I myself have absolutely NO problem with any of the moderators. but i do know that for various reasons, other members do. I think they would feel more kindly and more leniently towards the moderators if they knew that they were elected by their fellow bungie.net members. This goes on in my main group, and so far all the council have been fantastic people who do their job well.

what do you all think?

That would not work out...
Some of the people on b.net (A lot =)) really are not...Well...Mature. Many just shouldn't be the ones making those decisions. I think you know what I'm trying to say.

Plus, I know many people that would be great moderators, the problem is not everybody else would. What I'm saying is that, people may just vote for the people they know, or the "popular" people without knowing much about anyone else.

He's a ninja stupid.

A wise answer. (though the last word wasn't really necessary)

What happens when you bind the feet and hands of a ninja and then throw them into deep water? Do they sink or do they float?

Neither. As they fall, they break their binds, land "on" the water, and using their superior magic ninja powers, they run along the surface of the water and kill those who would attempt to drown them.

I see that at least someone understands the true purpose of the test. But there are other trials . Darker, secret, and deadly tests. Those who pass the first are the only ones who know of the second. Those who survive the second, they move on to other tests. What about those who fail?

They tell no one.

Isn't the final test something to do with being chained to a desk and moderating these forums, or is that what happens after?
