A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I never play in a party. In other words, I ALWAYS get matched up with -blam!- team mates who can't do anything. If I played in a party with everyone as good as me, I'd be surprised if my K/D was less than 5.00.
Thinking quite higly of yourself and your k/d there, I assume you're expecting rain of Wow's and Oh's in this thread.
I hardly ever play in a full party, usually I search alone or with my girlfriend who isn't exactly the best Halo player and maintaining good k/d ratio is quite hard. However, k/d doesn't measure your skill, especially in Reach where using stuff like banshee is ridicilously easy kills.
I don't understand why make such a big fuzz over k/d ratio, and people who usually care about it, quit the game when things aren't going your way or if someone else grabs that power weapon.
On a side note, you don't have too many kills/games played to ultimately rate your stats.
Man I miss Halo 2 when stats didn't mean a -blam!-. You got a good game and everyone started from scratch on next game. No high k/d or shiny general rank to give a reason for useless trash talk.
Win/Loss ratio is more important. Yours is crap.
He is searching alone. It's near impossible to maintain good W/L ratio when doing that.
