I never play in a party. In other words, I ALWAYS get matched up with -blam!- team mates who can't do anything. If I played in a party with everyone as good as me, I'd be surprised if my K/D was less than 5.00.

I don't see how other people affect your KD... and I have a feeling this is just a thread to show off a KD that isn't worthy of showing off...

How the -blam!- is this showing off? Im ASKING YOU if it's good or bad. See, you're like a typical player I'd be teamed up with: completely retarded.

mistakes your teammates make will ultimately cause you to die as well.

everyone knows thats basic halo.

I know players that quit if they get killed more then a few times in a game or go whole games laying in wait and racking up 4 kills so k/d is hard to determine good. But its easy to determine bad.

Link your Gt. You don't nee a party to play living dead or rumble pit and higher k/ds are not hard to sustain in those playlists.

Sadly, I still havent figured out how to use the sniper rifle or melee. I use them like it's Halo 2. I could just practice with the sniper and get outa my bad swipe sniping habits (which doesnt work in halo reach).

Here's the real question though: if I was in a full team of people with the same skill level as me, what would my K/D ratio be? I'd say 5.0 at least, is that a good estimate? Talking about BTB.

got play 100 games of mlg, then come back and report your k/d in that playlist. If it is above 2, I will give you props.

The only playlists where you have played enough for trueskill to even begin taking effect are anniv and normal btb. Those are easy playlists in terms of the competition you face so your k/d in those isn't impressive in any way whether you are in a full party or not.

Full parties don't increase your k/d by much. They make it so you get fewer kills and deaths per game because everyone on the team is good enough to get their share of kills unlike what you are probably used to being the best on the team carrying it to victory.

What full parties are good for is winning more often.

Based on that most of your playtime is on BTB it should at least be closer to 2,5-3 or better. But if you kepp playing BTB i bet you will get there sooner or later.

Cool story.

You care about your k/d to much if you're quitting because a games not going your way. Plus your most played playlists are BTB, 518 out of your 704 games are in it so having a 2.08 k/d isn't that great IMO for having that many games playing in those playlists. Not saying you're bad but average.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Second account. You know how I know?

W/L only shows how much you party up with other people.

  • 02.22.2012 10:00 AM PDT

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Thinking quite higly of yourself and your k/d there, I assume you're expecting rain of Wow's and Oh's in this thread.

I hardly ever play in a full party, usually I search alone or with my girlfriend who isn't exactly the best Halo player and maintaining good k/d ratio is quite hard. However, k/d doesn't measure your skill, especially in Reach where using stuff like banshee is ridicilously easy kills.

I don't understand why make such a big fuzz over k/d ratio, and people who usually care about it, quit the game when things aren't going your way or if someone else grabs that power weapon.

On a side note, you don't have too many kills/games played to ultimately rate your stats.

Man I miss Halo 2 when stats didn't mean a -blam!-. You got a good game and everyone started from scratch on next game. No high k/d or shiny general rank to give a reason for useless trash talk.

Win/Loss ratio is more important. Yours is crap.

He is searching alone. It's near impossible to maintain good W/L ratio when doing that.
