Nope, average KDR is above 1 because you aren't accounting for guests.

But that being said, a KDR of 2 on an account as young as yours is bad. You're playing against much more inexperienced players than someone of a higher rank, and you play nothing but BTB and are a self-proclaimed banshee pilot. The banshee doesn't take "skill".

This is what a good player's BTB stats look like. Take notes, son.

If you look at this recent game you'll notice that I got positive against a full team where most of my team quit. And actually, if you look at the G0LDSLAGER player he is actually currently the 2nd best Anniversary BTB player according to Halo Tracker. And he's the top premium battle player. It's things like this that make me wonder how well I'd do in a full team of players as skilled as I am.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Depends on what you play. If you play nothing, but MLG then go pro. If you play mostly Grifball then... meh.

Why did you come here asking wheter your k/d is good or bad and then start crying like a -blam!- when people tell you it's bad when it is? You think way too highly of yourself.

You're honestly terrible.

0.14k/d in double team.

BAD

Please take some advice, learn to accept the truth. Stop trying to stroke your e-peen and stop crying about it when people don't think you are good.

I could cherry pick 3 of your games to find a worse K/D than that. What is your point?

Uhm games but not playlist overall k/d.

If you didn't Play Halo: CE or Halo 2 MP, your opinion about Halo means nada.

CE + H2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> H3+Reach+H4

K/D in Reach means NOTHING.

The Pathetic ass MM system negates any real accomplishments in this game.

K/D in Reach means NOTHING.

Why do people on this forum love to make sweeping statements like that? K/D definitely means something. For it to mean nothing, you must believe that someone with a K/D of 7.01 is just as good as someone with a K/D of 0.78. The same goes for people saying the Banshee takes no skill or a certain playlist takes no skill. They definitely take skill. If they didn't take skill it wouldn't be classed as a game (as the same result would happen regardless of who played).

I never play in a party. In other words, I ALWAYS get matched up with -blam!- team mates who can't do anything. If I played in a party with everyone as good as me, I'd be surprised if my K/D was less than 5.00.

Considering that you are only over 2.00 k/d in BTB and Anniversary Classic and that in Grifball = 0.64 k/d and Double Team = 0.14 k/d then definetly not... your good in a huge team with a wide area (makes me wonder about snipe or vehicule whore) and you suck with a small team in a small area... so I would say you are either "n00b" or "Bad"

Pretty much.

he can't play at all under pressure which is why he has a good k/d in btb because no pressure is ever on you.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

Skill isn't a binary. It's a scale.

I think people are getting confused about how much skill the Banshee takes to use because it's easier to get kills with. That doesn't mean it takes less skill to use effectively. I would argue that the difference in skill is just the same as the DMR. It takes less skill to get 10 kills with the Banshee than wit the DMR, but I would argue it takes just as much skill to use to its full potential.

In my last 2 games on Headlong, using the Banshee I was 43-0 and 58-1. The average Banshee user couldn't dream of getting those kind of results on a consistent basis (especially without a party). This means that the Banshee takes skill. It's not rocket surgery. It might not require the same type of skills you'd like it to (like aiming accuracy which is needed to use the DMR), it takes skills like getting from A to B quickly and avoid being destroyed and knowing how to barrel roll etc.

I ask, what would you consider a good K-D result with the Banshee? 40-0? 50-0? 70-0? I ask because it seems like no matter what amount of kills I get with the Banshee, you'll still say "meh" which is just unreasonable. Just because you think it's more powerful than other weapon doesn't mean that it doesn't take skill to use.

  • 02.24.2012 9:41 AM PDT

Play 50 games of MLG and come back with a K/D over 1, (in that playlist) if you want a modicum of respect.

It's not going to happen with BTB stats. So stop arguing.

I'm not here to gain anyone's respect. I'm here to explain that you can determine how skilled people are by looking at how well they do in easy things.

For example, it's easy to hit a target from 5m away with a gun and hard to hit it from 50m away. However, you CAN tell how skilled someone is how by consistently they hit the 5m target. Claiming it takes no skill to hit the 5m target is idiotic - and that's what's happening in this topic.

my nonteam k/d is like 5. kd 2? thats terrible for a person that beats up on randoms and gets all the power weapons he wants and doesn't get his kills stolen by teammates

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

For someone who can supposedly hit a perfect 5-shot without aim assist every single time I'd say that K/D is actually really pathetic.

Your decision making in-game must be on par with that of a dead kitten.

  • 02.24.2012 3:39 PM PDT

It's the aim assist that throws me off. How clear do I need to be? Aim assist is BAD for pros like me, who can actually aim. I aim better without it trying to correct where I'm aiming.
