"Angry Angels, Honour & Loyalty!"

Thanks for telling the story behind the nickname...Its logical, even observed from outside US.

I´m a chocolat guy, but..in Reach vanilla FTW...

PS: did the voting ended yesterday (the 22 th) or not?

Yes it did, and soon 343i will tell who won.

I only played 20 games (One day), but 19 of them were TU.

"Angry Angels, Honour & Loyalty!"

Its the second person that says that.

Curious, because I got a different experience.
The games I played, not counting Griffball or Firefigth, were most of them, vanilla...

wtf is vanilla reach?

Default Reach

sooo why do they call it vanilla ?

Vanilla is the default ice cream flavor. Regular Reach is the default gameplay, and what not. So it would be considered "Vanilla".

thats gotta be the gheyest non hipster thing the community has nicknamed

It's a pretty old term, it wasn't coined with Reach. It just means pre-patch games.

  • 02.23.2012 6:17 AM PDT

Can somebody riddle me this? Why not just make a TU Team Slayer playlist and still keep the "vanilla" Team Slayer playlist too? Then peolpe who want TU TS can play it and those who hate it can still play the game the same way it has been played for over a year now. To me it's not that complex. With 8000 - 9000 players, there will still be games on both sides.

BTW. I'm voting Vanilla.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

I wouldn't mind TU in Team Slayer if they took it out of Multi-Team. If TU is suppose to head toward more "hardcore" gaming why put it in MULTI-TEAM?!

For this reason I vote Vanilla.

"To me, a nice triple kill with the sniper is infinitely more impressive than any Living Dead Killionaire"

Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I'm a commendation/achievement/statistics freak.

OP has a .68 KDR

This explains everything.

Judging someone based on their KDR is the mark of an -blam!-.

To be fair, depending on whos doing the judging, it can be pretty accurate.

Not really.

When people judge someone based on their KDR it either means they are trolling, or are incapable of formulating a real argument.

Or it just means OP is bad at the game so no good player is gonna listen to what he has to say. Its like having a choice to hear out Kobe Bryant or some church youth group player. Im gonna go with Kobe.

I vote for whatever is DMR starts. Vanilla or TU. They are the same to me.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Or they're using stats to back up their argument. You're seriously going to believe that a person with a .68 k/d knows what he's talking about compared to a person with a 2.02 k/d?

After a certain point the actual K:D has nothing to do with it. After a bad player says something stupid, a check of his k/d will provide you will the information as to if hes stupid, or just doesnt understand.

In the OPs case, he just doesnt understand the game very well.

Or that. But still...

  • 02.23.2012 7:39 AM PDT

OP joined Halo with Reach and hasn't been with it since the start. It's only natural he won't understand the series. I don't judge on K/D alone, I believe a good k/d and w/l is what makes a player good.

Breaking barriers.

Of course not. 100% bloom is just so bad.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Wait voting ended yesterday?

I hope vanilla won

  • 02.23.2012 8:16 AM PDT

I had 18 TU games and 8 Vanilla games.
For the sake of this game I hope TU wins.

I'm liking TU for team slayer actually, it plays into the more direct competitive element of the playlist. you cant just meander aimlessly to rake in kill after kill anymore. you need to be more guarded and play with your teammates more, which i like. Killing is easier now too lol.

as long as there is one vanilla playlist left in the game where i can fight off the sword bro, ill be happy.

"TU solves so many problems it's retarded there is even a debate about it."
