ima wait

Think about it, if they rush there might be something they change in disc 1 to make disc 2 better or maybe they want to take something out but cant because they already released the disc. Wait it out and then we'll all be happy with the final product.

And why would you waste $100-$120 on the 2 discs if it is the same game?

Ok, this waiting for the game is getting real old, we cn all agree on it.

Ok, excuse me for this, but WHAT THE HELL?! It's been a -blam!-ing 3 weeks! That is probably the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time! Some of you people are completely out of reality...

Wow, just wait for it. The reason Halo2 had so many flaws was because they were rushed. They released too much stuff in the trailer for H2, so everyone wanted screen shots and everything else. If you don't want Halo3 to turn out like two, I say you get off the computer and go do something productive, instead of sitting here whining about this video game taking too long.

halo 2 was a good game

They better not rush the game! Like they did with Halo 2. When it does come out, it would totally freaking suck if they split the campaign in two discs. Just put the SP on one disc and MP on another... if they put it in two discs.

OR we could just wait it out and let Bungie do their thing and make Halo 3 the best game of all time. I mean, waited 3 years for Halo 2...can't wait 3 more? Think about it...3rd anniversary of Halo 2, Halo 3 is released. But personally, they can take as much time as they want because, believe or not, there are OTHER good games out there BESIDES the Halo franchise.

And no, it's not blasphemy.

I know there are great games out there, I play NFS Most Wanted and Oblivion a ton. My halo 2 disk is collecting dust on a shelf. This game shows great potential, and what i am recommending, will allow them to concentrate on each part of the game. I wouldn't mind paying more than usual to have an awesome game with a ton of replayability.

Ok, this waiting for the game is getting real old, we cn all agree on it. Here is an idea I came up with that would get the game out sooner and make micro$oft money.

Later this year, they release the first half of the campaign and standard multiplayer. This will allow them to put at least 95% of their effort into this part of the campaign, yet they can also sell it for like 40 or 50 bucks.

Then, next year, they can release the second half of the game with a TON of new options for MP.

This will allow them to put a ton more data on the disks too. Making the maps even more elaborate, upgrading AI, putting more enemies on screen.

This is just a thought, because I know that over half of halo lovers would buy it, I probably even would. Opinions, thoughts?

First of all, game development doesn't work that way. Second of all, I'm not paying for half of a game. No matter how much I like a game I will not let game companies think it's ok to sell me a game a piece at a time.

Disk 1 - A Monumentally Large Campaign. Online Co-Op Mode is included.

Disk 2 - Multiplayer. Including every map from the Halo trilogy updated and rebuilt for the next generation (aside from repeats like Blood Gulch, just use Coagulation). Add in a few machinima tools & tricks for movie-makers.

Disc 3 - Special Edition Extras/Unlockables such as a Map Creator, Overly Extensive Documentaries, Inside Looks at Bungie, etc.

that would just kill the game. Rushing kills anything, like on StarCraft (Zerg Rush), movies, (bad acting and all that jazz), and games based off movies. I say, take your time Bungie, if it takes you 50 years, go ahead and take your time. I can wait.

well thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard.
2 disks on its own is a good idea, cause it means they can have a longer campaign, more story, and a bigger multiplayer section.
But releasing them seperately as 2 different games.
Stupid,
i think ill wait

You haven't thought of any good ideas. Your only reason for this idea is to quench your rabid fanboy thirst. Halo 3 should take all the time they need to be created. In the long term it really doesn't matter if it comes out now, or in a year and a half's time, so long as they are happy with it.

You my friend are just going to have to learn to wait.

Maybe if we all sign an online petition!

OR we could keep posting here and hope that Bungie listens to something we say!

It could just be because you don't know what a good idea is when you read one. Also, I am no fanboi, I just wanna play he game, why it's taking so long is beyond me, gears of war is coming out this year, halo 3 has been in development for what 6 years? Call of duty 3, 5 months? I was just simply suggesting an idea that would make the game better. sorry common sense isn't your strong point.

  • 05.22.2006 5:25 PM PDT

Uh the only way they could do that would be to cut corners, and you don't want Bungie to cut corners now do you? So please wait it out like the rest of us.
