@boomdeyadah
I say again - no bloom and nerfed AA's makes it easier for everyone to get kills. If you're bad you get kills. If you're good you get more kills faster. That's what you guys like. That's why you rage out when someone armor locks. You can't kill them. You have to wait. It slows down gameplay. Waahhh!
Yeah. I've got a low rank and a terrible K/D. It's no secret. It doesn't bother me. I'll still play. That's not the issue.
When I lose a game, for whatever reason, I don't cry to the developer to make the game easier for me. I play the hand I'm dealt. I paid attention to what Bungie said the game was going to be like. I didn't expect Halo 3.5 when I bought Reach. I don't think 343i has any business messing with Bungie's last Halo game. Anyone that didn't like it still has Halo 3. It plays the way you like. But no, you don't want to play the old game. You want to play the shiny new game, but you want the new game to play like the old game, even though it was not made that way.
When you resort to stat bashing that's the clearest indication that you have LOST the argument. Completely and utterly lost.
What's going to happen to Reach when Halo 4 ships. Reach's population drops to current Halo 3 levels. Maybe lower, we'll see. TU lovers will undoubtedly not touch Reach ever again. Why bother changing the game under those circumstances?
It's called the scorched earth policy. Haters don't like it and they don't want any vestige left when they leave. Admit it.
The TU did not make Reach better. It didn't make it worse, either. It just changed it. If you wanted it changed you're happy. If you didn't want it changed you're not. Fair enough. My point is that there was no point in changing it. None. The changes did NOT bring back the masses. The changes did NOT put Reach at the top of the charts. The changes did NOT make MLG jettison CoD and hump Reach's leg like a lovesick puppy. All it did was make some crybabies happy and confuse the hell out of everyone else. You don't need a 2.0 K/D to see that. If 343i had left Reach alone just about everyone playing now would still be playing because there's nothing else out there. Even if it dropped to Halo Wars levels it would not hurt the franchise. Everyone will buy Halo 4 when it ships just like they did when Reach shipped, because it will be NEW and because it will be HALO (and Master Chief will be back). Reach, good or bad, won't matter. Halo 4's success will depend on 343i. NOT Reach.
343i did not have to touch Reach. Some of us believe they shouldn't have. Bungie seemed to be able to handle the critics pretty well. 343i strikes me as kind of wussy. You might want to keep those Halo 3 disks handy.
