My memory is a bit dull right now, but wasn't the something in the books called a HAVOC nuke? Also what did it stand for? it would kinda cool to see one in halo 3 but im not sure how bungie would be able to implement it into the game.

MC needs to invade the Covie HQ planet, and he brings a nuke with him. It happens to say "HAVOC" on the side. That is how they put it into the game.

basically, its a big bomb, i think they usd it on reach to kill thousands of covi infantry, but yeah that would be awsome if you could go to the covi homeplanet.

"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future."- John F. Kennedy

They folded out of the system immediately
after I received the message, without so
much as a "Thanks for saving us from
becoming plasma on Tau Ceti, Durandal".

I dont think it would be possilbe to widley implement a tactical nuclear weapon into Halo 3.....

Yeah, but the HAVOC was a tac nuke, meaning it wasn't like a 50 zillion megaton nuke, but a smaller 20 or 30 megaton nuke. It wouldn't kill something like High Charity. Damage it, yes, but kill it? Nah.

the HAVOC nukes are handheld, football-sized nukes for spec- ops, 2 megaton yield if i remember right

i just want to see one of those NOVAs (planet killing nuke) go off in whatever the covenant use in place of High Charity..........

i believe a HAVOK was used on Sigma Octanus IV... Maybe MC could infiltrate a Covie crusier and plant a HAVOK. thats the only way i can think of it being in the game

The HAVOK nuclear warhead is mainly used in missles fired by bombers or cruisers. However, an alternate use is to simply place the warhead on a ground target and detonate it with a remote. It has a thirty-megaton blast. A Fury TAC-nuke is more or less a nuclear grenade. The Fury is about the size and shape of a football and can be thrown by a Spartan because they are strong enough to hold one with one hand. It has a blast radius of about 1.2 km. The NOVA is a special device that uses ten nuclear warheads in a ring formation. Once detonation occurs the lithium-triteride fusion cores combine together and the resulting blast is multiplied hundred-fold. Nick-named "planet-killers", these have enough explosive power to destroy an entire planet.

Ummm, Covenant home planet??? High Charity is the closest they have to a home planet, since their are several species in the Covenant. And I don't see any reason for the MC to go back there with the Flood in control of High Charity. I'm almost positive Cortana is going to figure out a way off of High Charity without the Chief...
