To make this work reduce RoF slightly on some weapons.

Increase jump height and player speed.

People depleting MOST of the shields and then bunting, or just having a weapon that doesn't kill shields in an exact shot amount should be rewarded. I know that sounds noobish, but it rewards players who are fast and have the skill to get close. I don't actually bunt that much mind you

No need for Sprint or Evade, we can move fine now that the concrete is off out feet.

No need for Jetpack. It always destroyed map movement balance and encounters on the poorly covered maps and we can perform trick jumps on properly covered maps.

No need for Armor Lock. We can dodge grenades and vehicles with no concrete attached to our feet.

No need for Dropshield. We are playing on maps that actually have reasonable cover that is within reasonable travel time on our customs maps.

No bleed-through is horrible. If they took it out it would probably end up ruining the TU for me.

I am all for increasing the player movement and jump height a little but I don't think it is really necessary. Reach isn't great, but you can make competitive settings now if you want (MLG).


343 has already done all that it really has to for Reach, I think they should just focus their efforts on H4 for now. Although I would support a quick TU that implemented TU settings across the board, not just playlist specific (although keep MLG ZB).

So basically it rewards kids that AR melee rush.. Okay then. Or use the plasma repeater and spiker who are trying to Max there CQC commendation righttttt.

I wasn't trying to turn every playlist into MLG.

Otherwise we would only need one playlist.

Evade is way OP on MLG Pit IMO.

But I still think that it would be beneficial for TS playlist. If kids want to jetpack or armour lock let them. You have extremely quick sprint and a no bloom dmr you should be able to beat them.

I think these ideas could work. Bleedthrough blows and no-bloom leads for easier kills, but increased movement speed counters that.

Just because that's how it was doesn't mean it's superior.

No-bleedthrough takes more skill to be good at. With bleedthrough, you can just AR and deathcharge a melee. Your opponent will shoot you with his DMR, you'll both be weak, and you'll both trade kills with the melee.

With no-bleedthrough, the guy would stupidly charge you with Sprint, you'd shoot him three times before he arrived, then he'd melee and you could shoot him a fourth time as he hit you, this would lower his shields, and while he's recovering from the swing, you melee him and he dies.

Moreover, with weapons it's harder to tell when something like a DMR/Pistol shot will kill you. If your shields were down, but are recharging, it's hard to tell when you could charge back out and fight again. One does not always have the time to wait for a full shield charge, especially if a teammate needs help. It's hard to tell when a melee will kill you when your shields are low too, especially with the healthpack glitch.

No-bleedthrough caters to the more skilled. Bleedthrough just doesn't work, especially in Reach.

Only real problems are vehicle health not being dealt with in the update, grenades and 5 second shield regeneration.
