Yes, I would love to be a walking tank:  56%

No, I couldn't take all those years of training.:  44%
(66 Votes)
Total Votes: 150

This includes all daily exercises, combat simulation, practice, and finally, the infamous Augmentation. You cannot change history either, so before the events of Halo CE, you will either end up MIA or KIA.(assuming you won't be John-117)

I'm going with no. I am too lazy to be able to go through all those years of training, only to most likely not survive the augmentation.

Spartan II? Not worth the risks of failed augmentation. I'd be part of Sabre Team, though.

If you had the certain gene pool.

OT: I wouldn't. I don't know if my genes are perfect for such an event. The pain would be gruesome even if they were.

Believe. Bungie.

I would go through the process of becoming a Spartan-II.
High risk, high reward.

Edit: I just realized that i don't even know if the kids put through the Spartan program were put through by guardians or just plain stolen and experimented on.

You know our motto, We deliver!

I don't think a lot of people would but it's one of those things where unless you are in that situation you can't really know- in this case when you are forced into this program and then it becomes your life.

But I would rather be trained as an ODST or Spartan III

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I would not want to be expendable like an S-III and have inferior armor. I'd love to see the extent of MJOLNIR, first hand. Plus, it'd be awesome fighting with Blue Team.

Spartan IIIs can wear the Mk VI, they recieve the same augmentations as Spartan IIs.

To the guy up a couple post, spartan IIIs are volunteers, they didn't have time to find people with good genes for the program. They needed spartans now and they needed them fast. So the UNSC set up a volunteer system.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Most if not all of us would be unable to be picked for the Spartan II program anyways, you need perfect genes to be picked, and even then, most of the candidates got derped by the augmentations.

Spartan-IIIs aren't supposed to wear MJOLNIR. I won't even get started on Noble Team wearing MJOLNIR. That'll just cause another pointless flame war.

Typical Spartan III suicide mission= 100% fatality rate.
See how that works, it balances out.
Either way you're gonna die.
No I wouldn't become a spartan II, many people wouldn't survive augmentations, and what's the point of becomming something you think is badass if you can't relish it because you're busy -blam!- your pants out in a warzone ?

Spartan I is where it's at.

Even though they survived prior missions before dying on the last mission? Far from typical.

Noble Team were special Spartan's. As Kurt had put it, they had the genes and they could have perfectly become Spartan II's.

And can you explain the fact that Spartan III's can't wear MJOLNIR? They practically recieved the same augmentations, or at least the ones that would be needed to wear the armor.

Oly Oly Oxen Free

I assumed SIII's didn't have MJOLNIR because of cost, not lack of augmentation. I know their augmentations weren't AS good as SII, but still adequate i'd have imagined.

Spartan IIIs and Spartan IIs recieved the same augmentations. Spartan IIIs can wear MJOLNIR but SPI armor is cheaper to produce.
