I would rather be trained as a Spartan II. I don't like the idea of having to take medication to keep my aggression under control if I were a Spartan III. I hate taking medication.

That's just for Gamma, and good luck with the medication bit seeing how if you fail to pass augmentations you will need medication for life.

I'd have them shoot me if I failed the augmentation process. That solves that issue, I'd rather be dead than have to be dependent on pills.

Too bad you don't get to have a say on that matter, as long as you're useful then they will milk you like a cow.

We are soldiers without borders, our purpose defined by the era we live in. This is our Heaven, and our Hell.

Only if there was a 99% chance I would survive augmentation, then yes. I would defend Humanity.

Umm, Spartan-II's are sent on suicide missions as well and just as frequently. The spartan III's are just sent on missions that are equally if not more dangerous, but have increased amount of soldiers in the field compared to the smaller amount the Spartan II's have.

But they are not seen to be as expendable as SPARTAN-III's. Plus, by my understanding, II's were meant to last whereas III's were basically doomed from the start. The sole purpose of the III project was to create cheap and *expendable* super-soldiers so that they could be sent on impossible missions impromptu.

Typical Spartan III suicide mission= 100% fatality rate.

Even though they survived prior missions before dying on the last mission? Far from typical.

I'm assuming you are talking about Noble team here. Noble team would not be a "Typical" Spartan III team. They were better, as you said, which is why they were given MJOLNIR. Other Spartan IIIs were expected to get the job done, not to come back. Spartan IIs could get the job done and come back.

The Spartan III's did several missions before both PROMETHEUS and TORPEDO and they did all of them with results that exceeded expectations. Also, seeing how many Spartan II's didn't go to missions of that magnitude nor danger, then I will say that's unlikely.

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

No, I don't know if my genes are perfect and besides, I don't want to be Something created ONLY for War. SPARTANs as awesome they might be, they can't be re-assimilated back into society. Like a Shell-Shocked Soldier, they can't.

I would likely be a UNSC Marine or an ODST. SPARTAN-IIIs go to Suicide Missions.

Not as strong as you perhaps, but frankly you are severely limited in your terms of thinking. Trying to apply a concept from the real world, that has shown to be void when dealing with certain areas such as military training, to a science-fiction universe set 500 years into the future is pants-on-head retarded.

He's referring to me, but I was just assuaging your fears about Spartan-II women. I mean, if that is the standard of looks we're dealing with, I doubt you'd mind.
