Subject: Buying 360 & Halo 3 Next Month: Question/Many People Still Play??

Well, I use to play Halo 2 on old Xbox Live like crazy back in the day and now after all these years I am FINALLY deciding to buy an Xbox 360 so I can play Halo 3 for the very first time. I want to get back into Halo. My only question is do many people still play H3? I did some research to find out if the servers are being shutdown anytime soon, but it doesn't look like that is happening. The only reason I'm getting H3 before Reach is because it's cheaper and I still need to catch up on the campaign even though the game has been out for 5 years now.

Well, obviously there aren't that much people playing it like back in 07, but you should still be able to find decent games, but remember... just like Halo 2, there are still cheaters (boosters, HLG, lag swithcers). If you love Halo, then get it. Halo 3 was also my first Xbox 360 game.

"At the end of this day one shall stand, one shall fall"

So, Death or Bungie?

About 5000 people a day are playing.

There are still enough people online to find matches.
Personally, I can't stand to play it online anymore (lag, too slow, cheaters, still bad maps etc) but if you're a Halo fan: buy it. I mean, for those few bucks you're going to spend you won't make a bad deal.

Although, to be honest, I'm more inclined to advice you to buy Reach (or Combat Evolved Anniversary). More people online and overall (at least to my tastes) better to play these days.
