Boltshot = mini shotgun

Link to a file with all my pictures on.. it plays slayer or team slayer, say about that what you will, Rage Twin 2..

Ehhhhhh...
It's okay. I definitely think the concept is good, but it needs some work.

looks nice aesthetically but the gameplay doesn't look like it's going to be good.

Interesting aesthetic. You're probably going to want to do some split-screen testing to see if it had any frame-rate issues. Doesn't look too busy, but it's hard to tell how many rocks you've got phased together there.

If you include an overhead overview shot, it makes it a lot easier to get a sense of the scope of your map. It's not always possible, but if you can manage it, it's a good idea.

Edit: You can try making the lightballs look like actual light fixtures by phasing a capture plate into a wall and then phasing the lightball into it. They look weird sort of floating up near the ceiling like that.

Me and a few friends play this occasionally, the gameplay gets annoying if people camp by the snipers, but other than that it's good fun :)

From some of the whole map pictures, it looked a little unorganized and messy. That's really all I can think of.

I've got that top down screenshot here.. but because of the location of the map it wasnt easy to get a good one.. i'll add the light fixture thing now, thanks :)

Ah - I see how it's laid out now. Looks like it could use more cover outside, and you might want to pull the FX filter - juicy might look nice, but a lot of players find it frustrating to play with. You used an FX filter, right? lol (little hard to tell from the screenshots)

Yeah, I'll ditch the juicy now. I'm just looking to these light things you said about, im using capture plates but idk quite how you mean to use them, but i've tried.. uploading screenshots now

If you want to see how I did it, there is a 'light fixture' in each of the lifts on this map. If you want to go take a look, I'd recommend holding on to something because if you don't the lift pushes you around.

Blah screenshots blah ;)
I don't have the DLC man, only anniversary DLC.

I've tried anyway, look at the fileset thing

Well, first off, that map is on Breakneck - which is an Anniversary map lol
Secondly - that looks better. If you want to you can try pushing it in further.

oh right, I obviously don't play them enough :P installation 04 for me! I'll have a look at your map now, if you have a look at mine? :P

Also, if I push the light in more it just pops out the other side.. i've got plates on both sides though.

I like your map, I predict lots of CQC, lol

Yeah, I've got your map queued for download. I'll check it out when I get a chance to get on next.
You could try thickening the wall a bit, or adding a piece of geometry to cover the light ball on the other side (if you don't want it to stick through). Looks good though - more solid and intentional looking.

That's why there's two shotguns! lol
Although it has the sightlines to support the sniper being there (in my opinion)

lolenergysword.. just kidding, i think a well placed sword would make this map. I prefer using the sniper in maps like wayont and hemmorage or w/e, big maps :) i'd go round assassinatining people in this:)

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

Sword is a bit of a (pardon the pun) double-edged sword. It has a tendency to either dominate gameplay or be dominated. That's why I went with shotties.
Sniper is nice on smaller maps for no-scoping, although I think there's *just* enough room on New Branch to facilitate the scope.
