A quit ban only really works when the matches are even-ish to begin with. The current matchmaking system sucks five million dongs; quitting is rampant because there aren't evenly-matched games.
Bingo.
But an alternative punishment that would have made more sense than a 10 min ban.... taking Cr from quitters. Since this game revolves around rank/Cr.
Yeah, that works better. Take away the reward playing games when you quit, like in Halo 3, and quitters are reluctant to quit.
But then you'll get more games where it's 1v4 and it turns into a hide-and-seek game which is BORING AS FUDGE.
Agreed it's boring as -blam!-. People that stay in this mess are ridiculous.
So take the quit process a step further. In a game with a 10 minute time limit, if other players on the enemy team start leaving and it's down to 1v4 say ... 2 minutes into the match, the game should end there and the last man left on the other team should be awarded 20% (2 of 10 mins) of the game complete credits, plus any commendations he earned up to that point. The game can automatically forfeit for them.
In Squad Slayer (5v5) or Invasion it should happen at 2v5 or 2v6. In BTB it could happen at 3v8.
Hopefully they're thinking about this -blam!- with Halo4 Multiplayer, but I doubt the Cr system will be back.
