Subject: Bungie co-founder starts own studio (Industry Toys)

An all-star team of game developers has come together to form a new studio that aims to make mobile games for core gamers.

Bungie (the studio behind Halo, Myth, and Oni) co-founder Alex Seropian is behind the new mobile studio, Industry Toys. His team also includes ex-Dreamworks Research and Development manager Brent Pease and former Marvel and DC artists.

The company president, Tim Harris, says that the premise of the company is that there aren't enough great games on mobile platforms for core gamers - Industrial Toys aims to fill that void.

A tosser is the same as a wanker. To toss oneself off is to fondle the trouser weasel.

Wonder if they are going to work with Bungie Aerospace and produce amazing games? This could be awesome.

It would be quite cool. However, I feel that Alex probably wants to be independent and build his company to be separate from others.

The mention of mobile games makes a part in Bungie Aerospace a possibility.

Makes one wonder if Aerospace is their delivery vehicle or not.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Well, it will be interesting to see what they do with a team like that.

The article is from today, not sure when the company was formed though.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

This is good, real good.

Maybe a little blast from the past in future aerospace projects.

I was saying maybe Bungie and Industry Toys can have a cooperative project.

Or, you know, Industry Toys could just stick to being an independant developer of mobile games while Bungie remained focused on consoles and/or PC whilst the Aerospace team helps indie developers out.

If Alex is in charge of Industry, they won't need to work with Bungie. They will work for themselves. Think about it; if Bungie were to work with Industry Toys, then why didn't the team remain at Bungie and produce the mobile games as a part of the company?

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

It's funny, it's like Alex Seropian can't stay at a studio for around 10 years. Co-founds Bungie in 1991. Get's bought by Microsoft in 2000. Finishes Halo CE. Leaves in 2002. Founds Wideload games in 2003. Creates games for a while. Gets bought by Disney. Leaves in 2012. Creates a new studio.

I think I'm starting to see a pattern.

But he had it way back when Bungie first started, because it didn't take many people to make good games. Now it typically takes a lot of people to create games.
