It's funny, it's like Alex Seropian can't stay at a studio for around 10 years. Co-founds Bungie in 1991. Get's bought by Microsoft in 2000. Finishes Halo CE. Leaves in 2002. Founds Wideload games in 2003. Creates games for a while. Gets bought by Disney. Leaves in 2012. Creates a new studio.
I think I'm starting to see a pattern.
But he had it way back when Bungie first started, because it didn't take many people to make good games. Now it typically takes a lot of people to create games.He probably isn't a fan of people telling him how to run his company. Or he is just smart, and knows how to make money. Either way, we are better off because we get games from him that are his own ip.I never implied liking to run things your way means he is dumb. In fact, I agree with you. Being in complete control allows him to shape the company to his vision with minimal interference.
