I loved 'em all. Those level designers really know what they're doing...

Uprising was damn cool, you got to use every single weapon in the game on that map (check the weapons store rooms where the brutes keep their trophies! I think i made my point)

I think you misinterpreted that.. The elite says "Even as trophies these weapons are useless.." It was just a weapon stache, the elite is only pointing out how useless they are.. But I agree, that was a fantastic level.

My favorite level between Halo 2 and Halo 1's campaign has to be Silent Cartographer.

Im gonna say all of them, I was never dissapointed with the two games, as a matter of fact im playing halo 1 just for the hell of it. I hope sometime in the future bungie decides to do a remake of the 1st halo, with insane graphics just like capcom did with Resident Evil 1.
that'll be great if they do.

Assault on the control room, The Two Betrayals, and The Silent Cartographer. I totally agree with DonPerian. The beginning of the silent cartographer would be totally frickin awesome if it was 10x bigger..... (starts thinking and drools)

Lockout. Pure and simple.

EVERY single map they said was from campaign...what possesed you to say a multiplayer level?

Level means level, lockout has the most replayability by far.

yea i know, lockout IS cool...but we are talking about CAMPAIGN levels.

Wrong. we are talking about any level, it never said "capaign levels" in the first post.

wow...your that controlled that you need to be told what to talk about by the title....you got to use logic sometimes....EVERYONE is talking about CAMPAIGN levels

Actually, being "controlled" would be going along with the crowd, which is just what youre encouraging people to do. He says "levels", that includes all multiplayer levels as well. Let me ask you this - Why does him saying lockout is the best making you mad?

Even as trophies means that they are infact the Brute's trophies like he said. Useless as in they refuse to use them (this is explained in the books)

well i think that every level in halo 1 were my favorites, they were so monumental and fun to play, *tear* but seriousely there was like 2 levels i liked in halo2, and i think they were the first two, the game started out fun and ended in disaster. i think that they know what they did wrong with halo 2 and they will fix it for halo 3.

Assault on the Control Room. It has the most length, the most variety in vehicles, the most fun parts (sniper practice on one of the ledges, killing a room full of sleeping grunts silently, 3-4 hunter pairs, YEA BABY!!). Oh-RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

High Charity. It has Master Chief chasing the Prophets through High Charity and you can sit back and watch the war between the Flood, Covie Separatists and Loyalists and then finish off the survivors. Coincidentally, did you know that the Brute Shot has the same effects as the energy sword on Flood Combat Forms? Just fire or melee.

Everyone keeps sawing Assault on the Control room. Yeah, it was fun but it pissed me off when I had to do it all over again, only backwards. And that time around I had to fight stupid flood along with the Covenant.

Quarantine Zone reminded me a lot of Assault on the Control room due to its shear size.

In the end, The Maw is the best one. So much crap going on, explosions, Covenant, Flood, Sentinels... and that race at the end... I hate games where I'm timed to do something but Halo made it so fun I didn’t care. My heart was racing, hands shaking, and a grin from ear to ear.

TP has a point there. The backwards part just adds to the difficulty, along with the fact that the available weapons run out of ammo too easily in that level. I constantly found my self being chased by flood with only an empty plasma pistol and spent rocket launcher, with only grenades, while the flood chasing me HAD A FULL ROCKET LAUNCHER and the benefit of immunity to melee attacks! NOW THAT PISSED ME OFF!!!

all the levels in halo CE were awsome. but the best were
halo CE
-halo for defending the little structures with 2 ramps (very fun) - truth and reconsiliation for the night battles. -also the silent cartogapher becasue the beach battle -two betrayals for the huge variety of different things like banshee fights, rocket fights hog's etc. -the Maw FOR SURE because of the armory which was AWSOME i really liked haveing the armory and then also for the hog part with the time.
Halo 2
-not much good things for halo 2... for the better ones were -uprising only good arbiter mission - delta halo basically only for the very first part with the ODST's awsome - metroplis because if you do it right you can litterally have a squad of warthogs. like up to 4-5... THAT IS AWSOME

I see alot of folks talking about Halo 1 being better than Halo 2. I must say that I replayed Halo 1 a little while back and I thought the Halo 1 compaign was alot more challenging that 2. Mainly because you couldnt dual wield. If dual wield wasnt in Halo 2 - those levels would be far more challenging.

My least favorite levels are the last few Halo 2 levels - basically where the conventant is fighting each other and you can basically walk through the levels untouched. Its basically at that point just a race to get the game done with. I hope in Halo 3, Bungie will not do anymore levels where both convenant sides are trying to kill you, along with each other. Theres just far to much insanity with this configuration.

As for my favorite levels, I love the beginning levels in Halo 2 - the earth levels. I replayed them so much I can pretty much go through them in no time - which I wish wasnt true as I want them to be harder and last longer (Really looked forward to a E3 type level.)

On Halo 1, I mostly replayed the last part of the Maw, over and over - I loved that race for time in the warthog - I got that down pretty good as well, especially once I figured out the Foehammer (I believe that was it) wasnt going to rescue me and I needed to keep going... lol

But I like all of the levels between the games except the last few on Halo 2, I just kind of wished they would end, just wicked boring.
