OK wait, I got a much better twist than my last one.

Right after the Ark begins to blow up because of Master Chief firing rockets into its core or something, time freezes and Captain Keyes appears out of nowhere congratulating MC on a job well done, saying he now has some interesting offers for his services, sealing the MC in a black, timeless dimension until his hour comes again!

That sounds strangely familiar to some other game . . . Hmm . . .

The Forerunner are actually evil, and the Flood was a mutation caused by the activation of the Halos that turned sentient species into the horrible parasite we all know and fear. The actuality is they are not really angels but demons and the MC, being a descendent of the forerunner, is aptly named Demon by the Covenant.

Anyone got any funny dialouge lines or quips that could be shoved in? (Try to make them funny but fit in with the Halo universe)

I think it might be cool to see a few otehr spartons show up and help chief or something. Somehow they could make that happen if not it will still be the best game ever forever, but it might be cool.

Cortana's program finally breaks down from absorbing too much information (read the books). She takes over the Ark and begins the activation of the remaining Halo rings, her motive being to save Master Chief (she's insane, you know what that means for A.I. programs...). Master Chief stops Cortana somehow and she comes back to her senses, apologizing for betraying him. Before fading away, Cortana reveals that there is no way to stop the activation process.

Alone and faced with the most important decision of his life, Master Chief remembers Dr. Hasley's final words before she disappeared with Kelly (read the books), "Your mission, John, is to save as many lives as you can..." Master Chief pulls off some technical maneuver in order to self-destruct the Ark and stop the activation of the Halo rings (think of how he self-destructed the Pillar of Autumn in Halo: CE, but much harder). In the process, Master Chief must sacrifice himself in order to complete the maneuver, and he dies in the explosion, a hero.

Moved by his self-sacrifice, the Arbiter and his fleet, and the remaining UNSC forces, deliver one final battle against the remaining Covenant/Flood forces and end the war...

Near the end of the game, the Covenant have found a way to begin the activation process for the Ark. Cortana, in a burst of clarity (she overcomes her rampancy for vital moments with the help of Master Chief), searches frantically for a way to halt the activation of the Ark.

The Arbitor and Master Chief stand by, helpless, in the control room found in the depths of the Forerunner structure on Earth. Cortana's sporatic whispers resound through the room.

Suddenly, the Arbitor gasps as he watches rows and rows of Covenant and Forerunner characters flash by on a holographic screen. He takes a hesitant step forward.

"No..." His voice his weak and wavering.

There is silence. Master Chief turns to look at the alien.

Cortana's pained voice comes through, sounding grainy and helpless. "There is... one way," she utters.

Master Chief faces the screens again. He understands.

Turning back to the Arbitor, he speaks. Two words. His voice is hard and emotionless. "One minute."

Cortana is silent. The Arbitor nods. "It has been... an honor." He bows to the armored sentry before him.

Standing, he pivots, and races out of the room.

The Master Chief faces the screens again. In his heart, he knows what he must do.

Counting in his head, he reaches sixty.

He is silent, but Cortana is not. She speaks.

"Thank you..."

***

So, in the end, Chief saves himself for the good of the universe.

(By the way, I might have gotten slightly out of hand.)

If your clear out in the open, don't even bother running away! Because I probobly Sniped you before you even thought about it!

Join the Brotherhood of Warriors

In Halo 3, the Arbiter goes to Earth and teams up with MasterChief, and then the Flood will land on Earth and start killing everybody then the Marines and the Elites maybe the Grunts work together to kill the gruesome freaks! Then maybe both at the end Master Cheif the Arbiter and Sgt. Johnson fight against the Flood that gather at the Ark to kill them, in the end MC and the Arbiter get wounded badly but Sgt. Johnson dies.

masterchief dominates the threat, then wakes up, he's in the cryo tube on Reach and it was all a nightmare. no covenant, no flood,. OR....MC dominates threats and you see the screen shrink like when turning off a Tv, and it is all a simulation run fo the new armor(s) seeing whether IV or V was better

mc takes off his helmet, and we realise he is a girl with john as a name. he is consummed by the flood and he kills the grave mind and then activates the ark to kill him self

The early bird gets the worm, but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese!

I think that the explosion from the ark in the trailor was twords the end, not 1/3 of the way through and it was from MC making the thing self detonate. By doing this the earth was destroyed and along with it the entire covanent fleet. So even though Earth was lost the rest of the human controlled worlds were saved. and by doing so the Chief managed to "save as many as he could."

What if the chief threw gravemind into a jet engine? Talk about an opportunity to show off the new graphics! Or we could make the arbitor and keyes fall in love and they make a little human/elite baby and it rules the world from day one! no? ok how about this... It turns out that humans are actually the parasites... and the covenate are actually the forrunners, and the flood used to be the covenenates pets, but they forgot to give them dinner one night so they got pissed off and staged a walk off.

This of course pissed off there supervisors, and the union bosses were powerless to stop the mass layoffs due to the floods breach of contract. The flood then exile themselves to the halo rings, and try and live a peacful life till they find out that humans and convenates are trying to destroy all life in the galaxy. So they go on a heoric and heartfelt quest full of heartache and bad acting. Only to be smited when they accidentaly get themselves sucked into a oversized blender. I mean the ideas could be endless.

Let me leave you with one thought tho... the holy roman empire was neither holy...roman...or an empire. Discuss amongst yourselves.

How about Master Chief is in a large, intense battle, gets cornered without ammo by a wraith, and just before he gets blown away, the hatch pops open and another spartan pops out. Basicly just bring back the other spartans.
