I was just wondering there are alot of groups out there under the idea that if they come together and come up with ideas for the Halo 3 game that bungie will accept them and incorporate them into the game. So what is bungie's offical policy on fan submitted suggestions?

I won't quote, but as Shishka has said before, Bungie does not take creative ideas from fans. Though you'd best ask him for the full and complete quote.

For good reason, have you seen some of the -blam!- people come up with? It amazes me.

Dual Shotguns, the ability to throw swords, etc etc. Its just awful.

Yes, i know they had dual shotguns in marathon...

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

If I'm reading what Frankie said right, Bungie doesn't take ideas directly and incorporate them into the game (though in a sense, they almost have to, since the number of ideas on this thread is so large that it seems almost impossible to think of something new), but if the majority of fans agree with a certain idea, and Bungie believes it is a good idea, they will incorporate it in a way.

Now...to see how close (or far away) I am...

Bungie listens to its fans! ^.^ | Ninja .II./ You

Bungie most definitely listens to its fans; the most obvious example of this is the Optimatch forum.

With regard to creative content though, I'm sure if someone came up with a tremendous idea Bungie wouldn't ignore it simply because a fan came up with it... that would be preposterous.

I think what they -don't- want is people emailing them non-stop with ridiculous suggestions because they said they listened to fan input...; everyone thinks their ideas are the best. =P

If the idea had enough backing, not just like 20 people, more like a hundred or so.
