nor can I understand why after nearly 8 years of spray and prey stupidity we still have gametypes which spawn you with a short range club. This was worse in Halo 3 but I don't get why AR starts even exist.

Someone explain to me why AR starts exist. What is the point of them?

Don't say 'it encourages map movement', because it doesn't. Don't say 'it encourages weapon variety', because that's wrong too.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

Because aiming is hard and bad players don't want better players being able to kill them when they spawn.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Because automatic weapons are more fun to play with.
