Not even gonna start.. This thread appears to be filled with narrow minded users.

We wouldn't be narrow minded if everyone that supported default Reach didn't use extremely dumb reasons.

I only dont like TU because of bleedthrough and Armour Lock nerf. I actually dont mind 85% bloom and admittedly it would make vanilla bit more fun than it already is

TU and Vanilla are the same to me. But that doesn't mean I like it. Overall Reach is garbage when it's gameplay is compared to the other Halos ...

What are your reasons for TU? I forget, I've been pretty inactive for awhile.

You'll need to give me a while. I have a giant essay to copy paste.

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

First of all - don't get me wrong - I'm not a 'good' player, but I'm not completely terrible. I have a positive k/d.

I don't precisely prefer Vanilla over TU, but I feel the TU needs work before it can support what I would consider a balanced experience. Vanilla has it's issues, but it feels more like a finished product to me. Not like the other finished Halo products mind you, but more finished. The TU has brought several improvements to Reach, but it didn't address all the issues that were apparent in Vanilla, or any of the issues the TU itself instigated or made worse/apparent.

I'll elaborate. In Vanilla, every weapon has it's place. Obviously there are some weapons that sit at the top of the pyramid, but the difference isn't too drastic. In TU the bloom reduction and bleedthrough reintroduction have effectively buffed the precision weapons, and to an extent a couple of shield strippers, while leaving the rest further from being useful. Many players will disregard this, as they're not concerned with any but the most effective weapons anyway, which is entirely reasonable. I however, do find it an issue, because I often survive beyond the ammo supply I spawn with, and frequently have to rely on what's nearby. In some circumstances it's not an issue, and there are DMRs around every corner, but on some maps there are very few precision weapons, and far too many weapons that by all rights should have been removed upon introduction of the TU. Additionally, I find that my lesser skilled team mates (I search solo) perform more consistently in a balanced environment.

For those reasons, I support keeping Vanilla around until the TU gets another update or two. Basically, if they buffed all of the weapons equally (that 15% bloom reduction would make the AR somewhat useful), nerfed all of the AAs (particularly jetpack - the map breaker), and fixed the health pack issues with bleedthrough, I'd be happy, and fully support TU Reach. Of course, an overhaul of the maps in MM that included replacing bottom tier weapons and controlling jetpack use better would make me happy too.

Oh, and can I get a -blam!- movement speed boost here? Geez... lol

Edit: Oh, and if I had my way holograms would get a nice buff - they would all sprint (or evade as elites).

Personally my ideal Reach would be

1 grenade off spawn
Armour lock is invincible but lasts shorter
No AAs but Sprint and AL
No bledthrough
85% bloom

The only people that like default are retarded and have no idea why it ruins the Halo experience.

I am perfectly aware of the reasons you (overly) competitive players dislike vanilla, but I enjoy it more.
Um, retard, no one even mentioned competitiveness of a player at all. They mentioned skill level. Raw skill - nothing more.

Take Viper Skills for example. Completely not a competitive Reach player, yet he's good, therefore, he likes the TU much more than Default.

It's really "Are you retarded or not?" not "Are you competitive or not?"

Likely story

I love this forums logic:

I want to hear your opinion on "X". What is really meant: "I want to know how many people are of the same mind as me. Anyone who has a differing opinion doesn't deserve to have one because they are noob/low KD/ any other obscure reason to disregard someone elses opinion.

Yup, Makes sense.

Well I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not mocking you.
This isn't that different than what I normally post. Just more explicit.

Oh, well - I'm also not trolling you right now lol

I guess that makes a difference.

Edit: glad I brought a smile to your face :)

No - kill time difference between precision weapons and everything else. AL doesn't make a difference. Actually, I see AL in TU more than I did in Vanilla.

I used to be able to take care of my team, back them up, and win despite all three of them going negative. In the TU the long range game happens so fast and the short range is still so slow that it's a lot harder keeping tabs on the kids.

They should balance the sandbox, or pull the low end out so my team isn't running around with super soakers. I don't expect them to fix the matching algorithm any time soon. I mean, that would be awesome and fix 99% of my problems, but I don't expect it to happen.
