Subject: Who misses the days spent waiting for Halo 2 or Halo 3?

And when he realizes he was wrong, it will be too late...

I sure do.

Who the hell do you think I am?

I miss the days of Halo 3 where more than several hundred thousand people were always playing. So many custom games, getting all those invites. Meeting all those people. Probably some of the best years online gaming I've ever had.

I sure do miss those days.

The days leading up to Halo 2 sure were great.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Back when the Halo hype was worth hyping for.

I'm in it 4 teh lulz.

Ahh Nostalgia! It was a beautiful time, in anticipation of those great games, but I have faith in Bungie, and I'm holding my breath for Halo for. I'll play it regardless, but it will never be the same.

The Reach Asset

Xhavalor is amazing <3

I miss when Call of Duty was good. I miss there only being 3 generations of Pokemon. I miss my PS2 and San Andreas and most of all I miss Rachet and Clank 3. The days leading up to Halo 3 were ok.

The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

~Kino's Journey

'09 Halo3 marathons were easily the most fun i've ever had in a video game.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

What the hell happened to B.net ARG's? Slapping your digits on a keyboard has never been so much fun.

mY EXCITEMENT LEVEL IS SURELY GOING DOWN... (caps lock was on LOL, too lazy to rewrite) But yeah, mainly because we were in the epicenter of the biggest changes in gaming at the time (and perhaps of all time)... kind of like with Elvis, or Eminem, or Television, or War of the Worlds...

I know, the one they did for Halo 3 with AdjutantReflex (that was an ARG right?) was one of the most awesome times I have had on this site. Then the same thing happened in a way with the SI for ODST(which I enjoyed even more). I must admit I do miss them at times, but I hope that Bungie brings it back once more for their new project. It'd be neat to relive some of those memories only with a new game.

Mess with the best, die like the rest

Halo > All else.

I find it so sad that Bungie went from Halo to Crimson Skies.....

  • 02.25.2012 9:27 PM PDT

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

*Sigh* Yet another nostalgia driven pity trip.
We get what we want, and wish for what we had.
I refuse to be blinded by nostalgia.

Yeah not quite sure why they didnt have one for Reach since they had one for every other halo game. Fingers crossed they have one planned for Destiny, that would be an awesome way for Bungie to come out of the dark.

"Hello. My name is Stephen Hawking. Physicist, cosmologist, and something of a dreamer. Although I cannot move, and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind, I am free. Free to explore the universe, and ask the big questions."

Ahh, crazed nostalgia. I do miss Halo 3 having a crazily vast community. Hopefully Halo 4 will kick start things in the right direction.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

I miss all the pre-release hype days where we all feverishly discussed what we thought might be in the next release, but soon there will be a return, and it will be great.

I never joined Bungie.net at that time, but I wish I did. I wasn't in to the internet.

In 2006, I remember after watching a particularly sad movie with my then-girlfriend and my best friend. I cried at the end, and my friend said "Man...that wasn't sad at all...what're you gonna be like when you finish Halo 3, man?"

I cried extra hard.

My girlfriend left me shortly after that.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I sure do.

I do as well.

The anticipation during that final month/week until each of the releases was legendary. All of the promotional goings-on leading up to them was greatly done as well. The clues and hunting on the interwebz for info about the games...

Ahhh, nostalgia...

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I haven't been on Bungie.net or have been a Halo fan long enough to have been waiting for either games, but I can tell you that I probably wouldn't miss waiting for them.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I was never around for either of those dates.
