i would want to be a mod, cause then i could hang around the maw and help them out there.

cause we need help in the maw.

Besides the shwag, avatar, and endless respect, there's no reason to be a mod.

Hmm. It's still a hard decision. Shwaaaggggg.

Not just no, but hell no. Being a moderator is way too time-consuming, you have endless idiots whining at you about "why did you lock my thread?" and "teh sux0rz! why am I baned?" and on and on. The job sucks. I'm talking monkey-balls caliber suckage.

That said, I'd still think about it if someone asked me, but I don't know that I'd agree to it.

Some -horrible- stuff gets through when America is sleeping, occasionally... If we're lucky TGP locks it but usually there's very few mods on...

Thats a good point, How many of the mods are from countries other that the US?

Goweb and I, unless you count Canadians as out of the US. But in terms of timezones, just us two.

Speaking of which, I can't remember if there are any Canadians in our ranks. :/

-TGP-

goweb is still here? O_O

anyways I've always wanted to be moderator for some reason. I dont know why, dont ask me, but ive always wanted to be moderator

While being a Mod would be fun, I couldn't spout my random, and stupid natural thoughts....so, no I would rather cower in fear of them (not to mention call them naughty names behind their backs) than actually be one of them....

That would be bad. You never give people power for any reason other than the fact that you trust them to use that power to good ends. If a member wins by just being good for a month, anyone can pretend to be a good member, get the power, and cause havoc amongst forum-goers.

Although one of the mods came up with a good idea. You get to join HFCS for one day, and the mods spam the forum, and you have to clean up the mess, while they all send you angry PMs about how you locked their threads. And to make it more realistic, you can't blacklist any of them.

Yes I would be a mod if given the opportunity.

I'd take all the hateful IM's all the hatred of the members if it meant I got to make a positive impact on the forum.

I have seen the members of this forum since 2001 continue on a slow down hill course as far as behavior, and until recently, I didn't care. As of late thought...I can't stand it.

Being a moderator on any site takes a special kind of personality. After all who wants a job that's unpaid and results in more abuse then respect. Pff especially on this site. Too many trolls, too many tools.

Endless respect? Did you know that some moderators stopped recieving PM's from everyone because of all the disrepsctful ones coming in. lets nto forget about the secrret basement at bugnie where they chain there moderators to desks.

Are you implying that the moderators are not doing their job?

It wouldn't be anything that I would try for, but if I was offered the position, yes, I would probably accept it. Assuming that I came here regularly, that is.

Thank you, I found your meaning ambiguous.

And if this is the reason you blocked...I could care less.

It was a yes or no question. The answer was no. I like all the mods, and have even sent thank you PM's to them.

Please do not bring PM issues to the threads. I think its unofficially against the rules.

You said that behaviour has been decreasing since 2001, and who is responsible for behaviour? Moderators, so you did not make your meaning clear enough for me. If you took offense to that, then sorry.
