Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle
Open your heart and hands my son
Or you'll never make it over the river

If I put pancake mix in my X-Box 360 Disc drive will it make pancakes?

I don't believe this would fall under World Records honestly..

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

I made this thread a long time a go I still think we should beat the world record...

Edit: Misunderstood thread, Bungie shouldn't have a world record for Halo.

Key

Um... no.

The genre of Books -> Video Games is not big enough to warrant a world record.

Well let me try to clarify.

What other games have got as much money when their based off a book compared to Halo? None probably. I think it's safe to say that Halo is the most currency grossing series based off a book.

You realize the book was inspired by the game, right? Just because the book was released first, does not mean it was thought of first....

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

The book was written as a tie in to the game, but was released before the game.

TFoR was released on October 30, 2001, while Halo CE was released on November 15 of the same year. Clearly not enough time to make a video game adaption.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

The book was still released first.

It was based off the game... so your point is mute.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

The X-box just came out, and most of the current fan base would not have heard about Halo: CE until they got the X-box for the first time (not unless they were at E3 2000), let alone a novel written and published only a month before the release of the game; the dates are too close together to be contributing to the record you've outlined.

I know I had never heard of the novel by Eric Nylund until I got it sometime in 2006 - years after - but I can't speak for everyone here.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.
