Common question on the forums: Why are Elite's blood purple?
Common misconception on the forums: Brute's blood is purple (it's actually black).
Less common misconception on the forums: Grunt's blood is green (it's very blue).
Now, I took qualatative analysis in high school chemistry, and it turns out that most chemicals react in some way or another, and some of the most complex chemistry is biochemistry. We don't know why aliens tend to bleed in bright colors (tozt anyone?), but it doesn't really matter for this idea: when two pools of blood overlap, they hiss and fizz as if a violent chemical reaction were taking place. Why? Because that's probably what would happen. Also, it could be really ironic (Brutes and Elites still trying to destroy each other on a cellular level).
