Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement

Yeah, but one playable level designed for the Apple doesnt give us any clue as to the overall progress of Halo 3.

I think they've nearly finished it, i bet halo 3 has been in the making for nearly four years now, ya know what bungie are like........they take a year just to deisgn the covers!!!!! i aint moaning..... great things comes to those who wait!!!!!!! but come on make it a jan 12th release on me bothday.... just fo me.

4 years??? So you think that Halo 3 work began shortly after the release of Halo 1?(Halo 1 released Nov. '01)... So before Halo 2 was even a thought in anyone's head... much less the 360... Halo 3 began to come together. That's what you're saying?

i think a lot of it has already been done, but still has lots left to complete. Since halo 3 will take a longer time to create with better graphics etc etc.

The trailor whoever was from the game. It wasnt made as some side project. They've even said that. So i suggest you pay more attention...

I suggest you provide a link back yourself up, instead of just coming in here with "They've even said" crap. I'm not saying you're lying... I'm just saying you'd suck at writing research papers.

Also, this is the company that said they were making a sea based pimpathon for over a year.

You still believe them?

ok if you read the latest news it sez (this has been copied and pasted)

"Paul Bertone, one of our lead designers, let us play something that blew our minds. That was single player, and from a mission very early in the game. And one that takes place before the events seen in the E3 trailer, but Lars, one of the new(er) multiplayer designers, has a regular multiplayer test in session now - that happens every day - and with surprisingly polished-looking graphics, although I'm told a lot of the textures and decorator objects are just placeholder at the moment. Could have fooled me.

The multiplayer test lab is still packed full of old-school 4:3 480i NTSC TV sets, which tells you two things. One is that we're making sure this game looks awesome on non HD sets, and two, that there is always a crazy rush to get to the sets that are HD during those sessions."

this is the most proof i have i may be wrong i dont know

If you are going to bring 'proof' to an arguement, you should at least believe in it yourself. What does that tell you?

Am I the only one who couldn't care less about how far along Bungie is on Halo 3 or if they'll have it done by 2007? I wouldn't mind if it wasn't released until 2009. Meh, whatever.

I just want Bungie to do whatever the hell they want with their game and not get pressured by overeager fans that want everything right now.

Edit: And P@S has been around for about 5 years, not just the past year.

Noone said they want it now... nor was it really implied. This is an argument over how much of teh game is actually done. With people wanting Jan. 2007 releases and examining Bungie's every move, one would get the impression that this game is very close to being done. I am curious how many people actually share that opinion. Hell, we've already got a couple votes from people who think they are going to "surprise" us with an early release in 2007. That would be cool if they're right... but highly unlikely.

Definitions of proof on the Web:

any factual evidence that helps to establish the truth of something; "if you have any proof for what you say, now is the time to produce it"

Thats a google defintion. The origin? The Princeton University site.

Neither was the quote you read. Hell, for all we know, Bungie could have hired someone to think up these teasing stories to write on the WWU... "Hey Joe, what should we write this week to keep the masses talking about Halo 3?" "Im' not sure... how about we write how cool the game is, and that it looks good on Non-HD TV's... so imagine how great it will look on HDTV's."

I wasn't necessarily referring to you when I said people want it now, but as a community on whole. And I am one of the ones that doubt an early 2007 release, just because a mere 8 months from announcement to release just isn't good marketing. Don't people think it would be smart for Bungie to go to next year's E3 with an actual trailer/playable demo? That would peak interest even more than what they have now.

I still think an early November release. Possibly the 6th.
