I'm hoping and praying that Bungie does another ARG to coincide with Halo 3. My only question is, if you think there will be another ARG, when should we start looking for signs?

As much as I'd love to receive a random trailhead today, I'm not getting my hopes up for anything much before 2007...

Whatever happened to that LYCA thing?

That was fun while it lasted.

One of the great things about ILB was all of the controversy on whether or not it had anything to do with Halo 2. If Bungie decides to do another ARG for Halo 3, people will automatically know it is in fact for Halo 3 and the controversy won't be there (except for those people that weren't around for ILB). I wouldn't mind being a part of another ARG.

I looked into the Lyca thing pretty deep. Turns out back in '99 with the original discovery of the Cortana Letters, the webmaster of lyca.com received the same massive influx of emails and site hits. His name is Matt Asher and he's just a normal guy. But yeah, I had my hopes waaaay up on that.

Yeah, I didn't fall into ILB until the theatrical trailer where xbox.com switched to ilovebees.com for a frame or two. So I knew at that point it was Halo 2 related...I can imagine the fun of discovering that on your own though!

Well, that is when the ARG started. Nobody knew about ILB until then. But, even after it was shown on the trailer, people still believed it had nothing to do with Halo 2. They believed somebody got a hold of the trailer and put it in there, or it was some sort of hack or something. Anywho...

I didn't know that! I mean, I know some people refused to believe it was H2 related after the fact, but I had heard that people from Unfiction received the jars of honey before the trailer and had started the ARG a little while before. Good to know.

I'm pretty sure that happened at around the same time, but I could be wrong.

Nah, you're probably right. Like I said, I wasn't there the whole time so I only know what I've heard/read.

I would love another ARG... I would want it to be more of a puzzle though... Like several inter-related websites that all have clues that lead to some interesting information about Halo 3. Maybe it would give me something to do at work.

Yeah, the axon idea was awesome...except I never had a chance to get out and answer one. I'd like to see something that allows more participation without the need to travel.
