Animal could get infeted right like your cat or so ?
Did the halo have life forms that could be infected?
Would they get killed from the blast?

Carrots.

No, there isn't, the animals on Halo wouldn't fit, since when it was activated everyone died.
And, if they could be infected by flood, than they are sentient, Halo kills all sentient life that can sustainf flood, so if they can be effected, than they would die.

Logically, I suppose so. Some animals are definately large enough to house flood. The problem, however, would be quardrepeds. Most heads among this group are too large to simply push out of the way for sensory organs; an the teeth are often the only main weapons for many species, nullifying many speices, like lions and wolves, from being candidates for combat forms. Even animals where this isn't so much of a concern- buffalo, for instance- would be challenging; once the head is out of the way, sensory organs would have to sprout right through muscle vital to movement, if coming from the main body cavity. I suppose going strait up through the back would work, but the organs would have to be off to a side in order to miss the spinal cord, whitch is not idea for a combat form.

Some animals, like gorillas, elephants, and kangaroos could form combat forms. And I imagine that a whale would be a carrier form gold mine.

As a side note, I have always found the notion that the Flood can only infect a sentient spieces perposterous. If a host has a spinal cord that could be tapped, anything's game; one does not need to know how to write in prose to be able to walk, fight, and serve as grunts (general sense of the word). Higher animals, though, would be nessicary in order to spread the infection past whatever body the flood are already on.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

y'know it's funny, i was responding to another post and i was just thinking about how messed up it would be to fight a damn bear that had been infected. i think it would be do-able for this game, but i wouldn't want them too do it. just a little weird, like generic resident evil or something. unless they find a way to tie it into the game without making it seem rediculous.

The explosion at the beginning of halo 2 when the regret made a slipspace jump in the city decemated all life for hundreds of miles. There would be no life (except for the stupid press coming to check it out.) That's the last thing we need, infectious reporters.

A bear would have the same problem as a lion. The head. Contray to popular belief, a bear cannot walk or run on hind legs; at least not without extreame discomfort and awkwardness.

Their large size would make them excellent carriers, though.

Um... who really cares if the flood would actually be able to infect a bear or a lion? If bungie wants it to happen, they will make it happen.

Because Bungie cares about consistancy within the world, or at least as much as possible. I doubt they will add something because it is hawt, but will only do it if it makes sense within the universe. Bungie has a HUGE book (so we are told) for just this purpose.
