Logically, I suppose so. Some animals are definately large enough to house flood. The problem, however, would be quardrepeds. Most heads among this group are too large to simply push out of the way for sensory organs; an the teeth are often the only main weapons for many species, nullifying many speices, like lions and wolves, from being candidates for combat forms. Even animals where this isn't so much of a concern- buffalo, for instance- would be challenging; once the head is out of the way, sensory organs would have to sprout right through muscle vital to movement, if coming from the main body cavity. I suppose going strait up through the back would work, but the organs would have to be off to a side in order to miss the spinal cord, whitch is not idea for a combat form.
Some animals, like gorillas, elephants, and kangaroos could form combat forms. And I imagine that a whale would be a carrier form gold mine.
As a side note, I have always found the notion that the Flood can only infect a sentient spieces perposterous. If a host has a spinal cord that could be tapped, anything's game; one does not need to know how to write in prose to be able to walk, fight, and serve as grunts (general sense of the word). Higher animals, though, would be nessicary in order to spread the infection past whatever body the flood are already on.
